A Mario texture pack!

Video by Zueljin

Items and blocks are all based on original sprites from the Mario games for the NES and SNES.

This texture pack is updated itemwise to 1.3.1

All blocks are fully updated to 1.3.1

Mobs are NOT complete; I have most enemies done, and am working on the passives.

Armor is complete! Diamond is a placeholder. I want YOU to decide what it shall be.

Armor

Leather is Mario's clothes. Iron is the Football guy from Super Mario World. Gold is Luigi. Chainmail is Koopa shells.

All GUI images updated to 1.3.1 save for Demo, which I will not update because REAL players will neeever see it.

No, wait, no I'm not. THANK YOU!!! :D

In celebration of this milestone, I'm gonna make this texture pack ANIMATED. That's right.

ANIMATION.

So far, I've got the various solid ore blocks done, as well as the TNT, Furnace, Jack 'o' Lantern, and the question mark ore blocks. What other things should be animated? Feel free to check the terrain and items images to see what I have.

I apologize, guys, I screwed up the Creative inventory screen. I've remade it, as well as adding a new Mojang logo, in the style of the old Nintendo logo.

The crash report image has been replaced with the classic GAME OVER image.

Welcome back, all you lovers of Mario! 1.3 has arrived, and, as I'm sure you've noticed, the pack was broke by this! D:

WELL NOT TO WORRY.

Your best freind Halen has worked for half an hour straight, and fixed each and every broken or un-updated thing in the game. Except the mobs. Still working on the mobs. Don't look at me like that, Mobs are hard.

Multiple mobs updated, most enemies completed.

Paintings fully updated. Most aren't Mario, heck, some aren't Nintendo, but I think you'll like them!

Items and terrain fully updated to 1.3

Updated to 1.3 before 1.3 came out! I love being ahead of the curve.

Note to self: Ask people who like it what they wanna see for mobs.

Further note to self: download yellow worm thing with the rose on his head for silverfish.

I'm trying now, I also need it for my map http://www.planetminecraft.com/project/super-mario-bros-world-1/ I might make a second one with little customisations for my map, but this is top priority, only it won't have anything new, just the textures from this pack

Hey guys, I know it's been a while since I updated, but I am waiting for the 1.5 Redstone Update to post the updated pack. Once it's done, you WILL be getting brand new Mario Goodness! I'll be adding new mobs, the Armor is updated, and ANIMATION. I know I promised Animation a while ago,  but this is when it happens. I'll be working on a Kirby project next, as the new pack setup allows for odd resolutions, and Kirby games run at about 24x24.

Step 1:Download the TP

Step 2:When the the menu pops up,click save as

Step 3:save somewhere

Step 4:when the option is available,press open folder

Step 5:Open minecraft and go to to Texture packs

Step 6:press the open texture packs button

Step 7:Drag it from where ever you saved it to the texturepacks folder

Step 8:You're done!

its proberly messed up cuz its got the TP inisde the folder u downloaded. download the folder then open it then the texturepack should be in there

If I understand right, all you have to do is download the mod and re-texture the texture files that are unique to the mod... and then include them with the download. Extra work, yes, but it makes it "compatible".   (If I understand right.)

Hey, I would like to know if you would like to have a Sound Pack made for this. It's been a thing I do lately, and I need to know what kind of sounds you would like and for what if you do want one made. I only ask that if you like the end result that you place it in the description.
Mostly I want to know if you want to allow the use of sounds from games later than the SNES era or not?

A sound pack would be epic. Use any sounds and music you like, since the enemies don't make noises in the SNES games.

This texture pack looks neat so far! I like the zombie boos and the piranah (?) plant bow, very creative! I think the diamond armor should be Fire Mario. Skeletons could be dry bones and endermen could be magikoopas. I don't have much of a clue for spiders, although buzzy beetles would be interesting.

I don't want to use any of the actual characters or powers for any armor except Mario and Luigi. Wario and Waluigi did not exist in the orignial games I'm using. I wanna use an enemy, like I did for Chainmail and Iron.

chainmail is dry bones

diamond is mario

iron is luigi

gold is wario

and leather is waluigi
