The McKnack Pack is a texture pack made with vibrant colors and color tints. Nothing ever needs to be perfect grey. Textures are darkened and shaded using slightly offset hues to make the colors deeper and more vibrant, without being obnoxious.

The grass colors have been modified. There are no more puke yellow/grey grass colors. They have been replaced with vibrant yellow green, medium green, and blue green. This makes the pack instantly pop, and the transitions between these colors are certainly a sight to see.

1.8 colored lighting seals the deal though, because it adds another layer of color tint that makes all the deep, vibrant colors change and transition to other colors depending on the conditions. Because there are so many textures, colors, tints, and light sources, You will constantly be discovering new color combinations as you play with this texture pack. And it'll only get better with more updates.

Also, The McKnack Pack is made to be a toon/modern version of the default. There are plenty of unique things about it to be sure, but it doesn't deviate too far from the default. In other words, you're not going to see grey iron blocks, or deep dark blue diamonds. I wanted to keep the basics similar so people won't be surprised to see their re-indition of the white house suddenly become grey.

In addition, it also doesn't require any additional mods to work, so you're good to go. 

Additional Details

- Updated for 1.5.
- Modern and colorful styling make it perfect for creative servers, or a survivalist who doesn't mind a mowed lawn.
- Reasonably faithful to the default pack, so no strange color choices.
- Bright and Vibrant, without being (too) quarky and odd.
- Requires no additional mods to work, unless you want custom lava and water.
- Doesn't clash with the current mobs or GUI.
- All paintings are from McKnackus' own artistic endeavors.

I don't really like that all the mobs look the same. However, it isn't a bad texture pack for the rest of it. Diamond left :)

Have you considered supporting FTB with this pack? I know it's a huge undertaking, but I love this pack and wish I could play using it with at least partial FTB support.

I'm sure I'm missing something big, but these are the ones I can think of that are part of the FTB Ultimate Pack:

extra biomes 
the extra ores come from IC2 I think...and maybe Buildcraft? There might be some others that add ores as well. I don't have a huge knowledge of all of the breakdown of the different mods.


also maybe some of the stuff in the Twilight Forest mod? I know there is custom wood/logs there too.

Well at least the extra blocks? Like there are extra planks/logs, extra ores, and building blocks and such. Just having those kinds of things would be awesome, without having to skin every single mod in the pack.

This is, by far, my favorite texture pack for blocks. I loooove that it's 16x, but still seems shiny and HD. I hate texture packs that are higher than 16x, because it feels like it takes away from the "feel" of minecraft. I love the bright colors and the fact that it's (almost) totally faithful to the default pack as far as colors and the overall look of the blocks. The only thing I don't like is the clay texture, since it's not faithful to the default coloring. In any case, again...love this and thank you for sharing it!

I am not sure what you are referring to. All the images in the armor folder have been changed and the item image has also been changed. Are there other locations that pertain to armor?

We just use in game functions f1 to hide the HUD and f2 for a screenshot. Angles and lighting are simply having an eye.

You have to resize the image to the right resolution, posting higher -res pictures get less sharp in the feature window here on PMC.

Huh, not sure what's up with that. It's not an HD pack, so the fire isn't glitchy. Unless you're telling me to make a new fire texture, which I don't know how to do and probably won't do. Regardless, you should probably try mc patcher.
