It's crazy to think how long I have been on this site, quietly browsing the work of others.
My contributions have been... sparse. Part of this may be because I have a focus on my schoolwork, yet at the same time, I yearn to be a part of something bigger, to be well known, to be remembered. And really, that's what a lot of folks want, so I'm hardly special in that regard. But, if the cover image is anything to go off of, I have something planned.
Some of you who use Reddit may already know me, but by a different name. Over on Reddit, I am known as Flor3nce2456. And if you have a peek around my profile (May contain NSFW), you'll find a series of near daily images similar to the cover here.
I have always loved resource packs. My favorite from the olden days was The Painterly Pack. Alas, it no longer updates. These days, I tend to enjoy packs such as Jicklus or Pixel Perfection or even Mythic or Overgrowth (though my laptop has a hard time with them) among others.
I had, for a time, been keeping a personal version of the Painterly pack, and Frankenstein-ing other pack textures into it to keep it up to date, as well as making my own. But at some point, I felt like all the time I was spending keeping this monstrous chimera of a "Painterly" pack up to date would basically mean nothing, as I had none of the permissions to actually share it with anyone. Heck, I don;t think I could even post screenshots.
So earlier this year, I decided to take all of my pack-making experience and apply it toward something I could be proud of. And that thing is a Resource pack of my own I call "Canis Minor".
I can't say when it will come out of course, as - again - school takes priority in my life. But hey! Come December, I'll be ready! I'll release an early build and just get it out there and see what folks think!
And when that happens, 10 years of playing this game may finally mean something to me. Crazy it took me this long to realize what I truly love about this game. The World is my Canvas, and the Ground itself is my Paint!
Oh wait, that's a Terraria reference....
