It was roughly 9:30 at night, and I was exhausted and had a long day. I got home from school at around 4:30 in the afternoon, did schoolwork for a couple of hours, and played Minecraft for the rest of the day.

"Tomorrow is another day," I proclaimed as I climbed into my twin bed, masked with silky sheets and a green comforter, the latter a little worn down as I had not bothered to wash it for roughly a week but it was clean enough to sleep comfortably in.

I lay in bed, thinking more about today's experience in the game and how content I was with the server I had been a member of for 2 years now than the day ahead. I closed my eyes and drifted away to sleep.

After a short time period I started hearing the soothing sounds of the Minecraft soundtrack, but somehow, I knew I wasn't in my bedroom, as I had just drifted asleep not too long ago. I opened my eyes and was immediately astonished at the vivid and ethereal sights around me. I was in a blocky woodlands forest, surrounded by trees. I could hear the moo of a cow and the oinks of a couple of pigs. The way that the sun was positioned to my right side, illuminating the area around me suggested that the sun had just risen and that it was morning. This is a dream, I thought. I just fell asleep not too long ago. Suddenly and in almost clear surround sound, I heard the level up sound - the one you hear every five acquired experience levels.

I lifted an arm, expecting it to be the typical blocky Steve-like arm. Instead, it was my own - and I was very taken aback. Once more I realized that I had full control over my arm, which threw me aback even further. I turned my head to the right to see a lake downhill a couple of blocks, and to my left was what resembled an infinite forest. It became clear to me at this very moment that I was lucid dreaming - where you had full control over your dreams. From here on, I could do anything in this dream - and I had a lot I wanted to do. And judging by the sun’s position in the horizon I had plenty of time.
