I have been looking around for some cool projects, and it has come to my attention that there are alot of builds that are too intricate. A lot of these intricate builds have unrealistic designs, and overused material & design. I love that there is a lot of time put into it and that they go an extra mile to make it look nice, but it gets to a point where it is TOO intricate.

        Intricate means very complex, and i have noticed there is a lot of builds too complex. take this for example:

This is what i mean by TOO complex. I think it is unrealistic (not that minecraft is) and hard to understand. Now, you should NOT go off and build something as boring as the next picture because you don't want it to be too complex.

That's WAY too boring. You need to tie in the right amount of detail into your builds. You shouldn't take 6 hours making your walls look so insanely detailed, but at the same time not boring and bland. Create a build with the right amount of detail. Example:

I did not build this, however who ever did made the buildings very detailed, but not to the point where it is unrealistic. This is a perfect example of having the right amount of design into your builds.
