Ever went on PVP server and rage quitted because you would constantly die? Ever felt bad because you never won a single Survival Game?

Well then, this guide is for you!

If this guide was helpful, come check out my Youtube Channel! I do shout out giveaways every video :D. www.youtube.com/user/NervousZombieGames

First of all, let me say that this guide is intended to all Minecraft players and PVPers. No matter what your level of game is, I hope that you might still find this guide useful.

1. Sword or Bow?

One of the most common mistakes in Minecraft PVP is the misbalance between the usage of a sword and a bow. On a lot of PVP servers, I see people using a bow when there opponent is three blocks away from them. BAD IDEA :D! You should only use the bow when someone is rushing at you, or if you're running after someone. Otherwise, a sword will be much more powerful and easier to use. Vice versa, I wouldn't recommend you rushing to a player 100 blocks away with your sword if you have a bow!

2. I know how to make balance between bow and sword, but I still suck at PVP!

Patience! Patience and practice are the most important things when trying to improve at anything. If you still can't manage to hone your PVP skills, here are some helpful tips:
  • Know when to run! I've seen a lot of people persisting with half a heart left. Did you know that even a punch is equivalent to half a heart of damage? Morally, you should run when you have about 1 to 2 hearts left. This can be done by just turning around in a 180, jumping and sprinting at the same time. I would also recommend hitting your opponent while sprinting before actually running away. This will cause a slight knock back to your opponent, giving you more time to run.
  • Interact with your environment! Are you fighting on a mountain? Great, knock him off the cliff :D! Are you battling right next to a lava pool? Why not hit him off there? Your battle environment is really helpful, and can really serve as an advantage.
  • Always take the higher ground! If you are on a mountain, and someone is trying to get to you, you can easily shoot him off with you bow! Also, taking the higher ground will make a great spot for critical hits (hits that deal 1.5x more damage, I'll come to that later) and sneak attacks!
  • Hit him some critical hits! Critical hits are done by hitting someone while falling down. So, if you're constantly jumping during a battle, not only are you making it harder for him, but you're also dealing him some extra hearts of damage!

3. Potions and enchantments

Ahh, the most underestimated things in Minecraft. First of all, potions. Potions can be brutal, specially if you are using potions of poison, which will deal half a heart of damage to your opponent every second or so. They can also be used for your personal advantage; a strength potion will make your hits half a heart stronger, and a strength II potion will make your hits up to 1 heart stronger! Now, enchantments. Today I would like to focus on two enchantments: knockback, and sharpness. Both of them can be really brutal for your opponent, and helpful for you. Sharpness will make your sword much stronger, and knockback will knock the enemy back up to 9 blocks away!

That was it for my noob guide. If you liked it, why not give it a diamond?
Thanks :D
