To all of you who post Rants on a regular basis....I have one word for you. Ready for it?

Why?

Why? Do you really think that all the things that you're ranting about are going to get fixed? It's clear that rants nowadays are just about getting people who agree with you to give you a diamond. Those who you are ranting against won't notice your rant. Even if they do, they will ignore it. First off, let's define our terms:

rant (v).



Think of it this way:

Do you like people to tell you what to do? (Especially when they are correcting or judging something of yours that you are proud of?)

The obligatory answer is "No". People don't like to be told what to do! While rants are great for exp. farming, there is no need to insult and attack others to get exp. There are plenty of other ways to do it that don't harm others. Most of these "rants" are targeted towards "noobs" that don't really get much attention. The attention that they do get is frowned upon, almost as if they don't deserve it.

Remember when you were a "noob"?

I do, and I still may be considered one by many PMCers. But I think that it's time that we gave the "noobs" a break, and give them their chance to improve so that there are fewer "lame" skins and blogs. You were given grace when you were a "noob". Give out a little yourself.

I also totally realize that I just broke all my own rules by posting this, but hey, someone had to say it. It's time that the condescending PMC "Pros" got put in their place.

YOU ARE NOT BETTER THAN ANYONE ELSE. I don't care what kind of skins you make, what kind of blogs you post, what kind of textures you paint. Everyone deserved to be treated like an equal human being, whether it's in person or over the internet. If you don't like something, give constructive criticism on the PROJECT and not the PERSON.

You know who you are out there.

Stop being a jerk.
