Hey everybody,
I am an administrator on this great Tekkit server. Well... my actual title is SuperAdmin+, but let's just say I'm an admin. I have been on the server for 1 and half months now, ( It started about 2 months ago). Anyways, I am an adminstrator on a anarchy style tekkit server with few rules and banned items. And you might think this is an easy job, well it would be normally, except I am having to loophole through permissions (to which people lower than me can access) in order to do my job. For example; The biggest rule on our server is, Do Not Grief Spawn!!!, and I don't get what makes people thing blowing up spawn on an hourly basis is so fun! I don't understand it at all! In order for me to ban the players that do i have to go through extensive backtracking, house searching, and interrogating, until I find the griefer. This takes me about 3 days. That isn't to bad, no, it's the same routine over and over. I got use to it.
The bad part is the owner of the server doesn't know how to stop this! The owner does not have the necessary background for protecting and making the server thrive. For example, one of our plugins is essentials protect. I admit this is not the best plugin to protect stuff with in tekkit. But we don't even have anything protected. The owner is always mad when the spawn gets griefed, yet doesn't put protections on! It is absolutely ridiculous!
The next part of the soon to come point of this blog is that there is an abusive admin also. It gets worse. The abusive admin joined the server 3 weeks ago, has a huge griefing history, has global bans on mcbans, oh did I mention, the admin also farther up on the staff chain than me! This admin constantly blows stuff up with nukes, which i fix immediately, the admin also spams chat talking about random crap, when there is a separate channel for admins, and the admin is 12. Now I'm not saying all 12 year olds are bad, I once was a 12 year old, too. I am just saying that this admin is not at the right maturity to understand what it truly means to be an administrator on a server.
The main point of this blog was to ask for some tips, tricks, advice, help, general criticisms, etc. I want to tell the owner, "Dude! WTF, Give Meh Some PERHMS!!" But.... I know I would get banned for that. I need a better way to put that to the owner nicely. Also I need a way to either get rid of the abusive admin, or, change the abusive admin over to the good side. I think the earlier of the two is how it is going to happen...
Anyways, I am open minded and accept all criticisms, tips, tricks etc, etc.

I understand where you are coming from with the griefing problem and I have an idea. make the spawn out of less valuable blocks to deter the griefers, and also you should make an admin ''meeting'' room, where you have a space to converse freely and place suggestions to the owner, i hope this helps and good luck,

select an area with the wand witch you get with //wandthen use /region define [Name]then /region flag [Name] [Flag]
I am 98% sure theses are the commands but if they are not you can always look up a tutorial.
