Greetings PMC! The past few days I have been reviewing yet another kind of server, hope you like my review!

Introduction

People often tend to go with the herd, today big servers with over the 200 players become a magnet to new players. Unfortunatly, there are servers with better content but less publicity. And such a server, is Afternoon TeaCraft. Fabulousity and britian aside, Teacraft has definetly some flavour of awesomeness.

The server

The first impression Afternoon Teacraft is quite reasonable, they have a very thought out the spawn with various decorations and possibilities. Even though it might suit its needs, the spawn isn't that kind of an artwork, it could have been more! The staff do claim to have a better spawn ready in 1.7, but that is for you to see. Their plugins are impressive, well configured and chosen to create an amazing experience. I bet that 60% of the players on there have never seen those plugins, but publicity does not show quality. There are no lag issues, yet there is alot of RAM consument and enough other aspects which normally causes lag. Every plugin is polished, no bugs found and their website is quite good as well.

Unfortunatly, just like Mumau's prison, their chat can be a pain as well. Their long tags in different colours mixing with other colours can be quite annoying, on the other hand the information in those tags are quite essential, for towny atleast. They do not present them much as a towny server online, but they definetly are. Their outside world is quite beautiful with their official cities and NPC's. Unfortunatly when you walk further you see the common minecraft problem, scarred and polluted land.

The server does have a concept for a bigger server, which causes several issues. Towns are nice, but with 17 players online you will get 2 players on every side of the world only meeting eachother in spawn. The chat is occupied, but I highly doubt that any big community activity can be found. Their concept is almost flawless, but would fit more with a 50 or 60 player server.

The Community

With a very community friendly atmosphere, what else can you expect from the community? Their community is quite loyal to the server, and comes in reasonable numbers. With around 17 always online, you won't get bored in the chat. But as stated above, the community is quite distant so far. This can make you feel disconnected, and the tea won't save you from that. Though, the community shows respect and generousity towards other members. That is quite unique these days. I guess that even though you are alone in the ruins of ancient towns, you might never be alone.

The Staff

Joining the server at first might leave you at confusion as the staff carry no staff prefixes! Eventually I found out that the people with a nickname are the staff. Those people are quite dedicated towards the server. The owner of Teacraft splintered from another server a while ago, believing he could do better. This ideology is expenaded with a whole staff team, and my high compliments towards the founders of this server. The work these people are putting in the server.. they definetly deserve every penny of donations they get. They aren't educated proffesionals or your grandma baking an applie pie for you, but they are good enough. When that staff team continues making their server better, they will become more succesful.

The whole picture

If its the elegance behind the name or the humour in their currency, Teacraft meets all the requirements to be considered a highly classed server. Unique plugins, great staff and a reasonable community make sure that you won't forget Teacraft, and that you will come back! This hidden jewel in a dark crypt of server lists, should definetly be discovered. These are my ratings!

The Server: 8/10 - Very well thought out and hilariously made.

The community 6/10 - Reasonable and nice, could be more.

The Staff 8/10 - Dedicated, loyal and genius.
