Hey there viewers! I decided to enter the blog contest even though I am not much of a blogger yet because I haven't submitted anything for some time and I had nothing better to do. So a blog contest seemed like something fun to do and I hope you will enjoy my blog!
Okay lets get to the introduction, ever wanted more enchantments? Well as the title says, my idea for Minecraft would be arctic or ice enchantments. In the game, there are already enchantments like fire protection, flame and fire aspect so it would seem like a good idea to add in ice enchantments as well.
So I will list some enchantments that would go good with the title, the use and more. If there is something about my blog you feel can be improved please tell me by leaving a comment behind. Also please take some time to read it and enjoy!
So how this idea works is that there will be new extra enchantments available for the enchanting table. Maybe it could even be added to vanilla Minecraft but who knows? Here are some enchantments I made up which I think would be pretty cool:
Sword Enchantment: Ice aspect-Increases the damage done to blazes and magma cubes and causes a frostbite effect which works the same way as poison but only works on magma cubes and blazes. Each level would increase the damage done and how long frostbite would last.
Bow Enchantment: Freeze-Target shot with arrow will freeze in place for a few seconds with snowflakes coming out of the target for a cool effect. The higher the level, the longer they will freeze (I would say they would freeze for about 1-3 seconds).
Helmet Enchantment: Anti-Snow-This would be another helmet enchantment! Don't you hate it when it snows and your game gets all hard to see? This enchantment would remove the snowfall so you can see clearly on a snowy day! Probably only one level for this enchantment would be good enough.
Boot Enchantment: Grip-Walking or running on ice can be slippery and at times annoying. What this enchantment does is it makes you walk on ice the same as you walk on dirt. Which means it would not be slippery anymore.
I picked this idea because there aren't much modifications of enchantments out there and I just thought if there were fire enchantments, why not do its polar opposite? Ice enchantments!
It could also make the game more enjoyable since the enchantments add new challenges in PVP with the Freeze enchantment and it would be easier to fight blazes and magma cubes with the Ice aspect enchantment and new effect frostbite. Another reason why I picked this idea was because I am interested in elements so that is why I picked this idea.
However it doesn't just have to be ice, it could also be earth, air, dark, light, energy, water and more types of enchantments! Ice however would probably be the best since like I said there is already a fire enchantment and may need the polar opposite set of enchantments.
