First Impressions are everything, and this one is odd I do have to say. I have spawned in some sort of done, built out of too much glowstone, quartz blok and pillars, and wool. Along with a few odd looking birch trees, this isn't very impressive.


I haven't seen any implications that this may be an OP server of some sort, nor have I seen any server info signs, but when I do /Kit Starter I get a full set of Iron armor. Along with a sharpness II diamond sword, 32 wood logs, iron shovel, pik and axe, and 16 obsidian. That is some starter kit, it would be ok if this were an OP server. We'll have to see....


I've exited this colorful dome spawn and entered an even stranger place, im looking at what seems to be streets, surrounded by mountains that have buildings in them. There is a desert style dome next to the quartz one, that is a bit off.


I've never been a fan of easy gameplay gives, I think players stay longer when they have to work to get what they have, when they are rich and everyone knows that it wasn't easy for them to get there. I have just walked up to an enchantment area, that's one the most OP things you can give players who have just spawned. They'll see this and never work to get their own, and get bored when they have everything.


I've discovered what seems to be an attempt at a modern building next to this enchantment area, it makes me want to start including pictures in my critiques....when I figure out how I think I'll do that. It's just a rectangular quartz building with packed ice for windows, it's more window than building and it's completely empty, it is also, unimpressive. I haven't written a critique like this in a long time...


This server's spawn is filled with time era errors (say that five times fast), there are wool and fence market stalls, empty modern houses, giant pillared domes, streets, and street lamps. It's all over the place, If I had a say, I would say that these people should consider rebuilding their spawn completely. It's important to have everything in your spawn to match, though it may sound “girly” or “unimportant” to your average 13 year old server owner, it's a big part of keeping players in the game.


'm just gonna list off everything I see from here on that is unattractive in one big run-on sentence, this article would be too long to read if I used a paragraph for each issue like usual.


Unfinished statue at the back of spawn, portals are under strangely built domes, the head of the dome is wool (unpopular block, not very intuitive) and the pillars are quartz, there are no solid walls on said domes making them seem unfinished, entire spawn uses likes of glowstone to stay lit at night, this is viewed by players as tacky, there are many ways to make lighting without it being intrusive on the build itself, spawn is uneven, meaning not completely symmetrical, there is a way this can be done where it be viewed as creative but this approach is not it.




Ok folks, im going to stop here, it will be up to the owner of this server if he or she would like for me to review the entire server, but I like to do that in private.
