This is a music video of our first ever original song: "Cold Blue Rose"! This is something the hardcore fans of "A Song of Ice and Fire" might appreciate ;).
Thanks go to Demodocus for such an awesome song, Lemonbear for fantastic vocals, Carcinogenius for his great orchestration (of which you will hear some of in this arrangement) and Hal9007 for tweaking it and mixing it all down.

Some of the background behind the song:
This orchestration follows the nature of the song by verse: the first verse is exposed, with little orchestration. This is more of a showing of Lemonbear's vocals then anything else. A relaxing introduction to the song. The second verse ("thorns of love") is more romantic, bringing out the first treble strings and instruments. The orchestra recordings turned out great. The third verse is harsh, signaling the death of Lyanna, and displays darker tones and strings. I used some of Carcinogenius's great bass lines here for added effect. The last verse is a culmination of the three verses before it, reflecting all of Rhaegar's mixed feelings for Lyanna. Lemonbear's vocals were made as smooth and light as possible with some added reverb, to emulate the effect of a great hall. Through and through it definitely turned out better than I expected.

Moral of the story: Don't date a woman who's boyfriend can one-hand wield a warhammer that can crack your breastplate in half and kill you.
