What is determination? Determination can be good or bad. In most cases, though, it comes out being a positive effect!
Determination drives you towards a specific goal that means a lot in your life. It plays a huge part in mine! So anyway here is a story about me and how determination affected my life.

I play soccer, and when I was younger I couldn't juggle well (juggling in terms of soccer is kicking a soccer ball in the air repetitively without dropping it on the ground. Its actually very hard to get used to.) When I joined the select soccer team, my juggling record was a measly 9. All the coaches talked about these soccer players in my age group that by the end of the season had 300 as their records and how they expected us to be at 30 by Christmas. I immediately thought (Oh crap I need to get better at this), so I went and practiced after our practice for the first time. It was disheartening to say the least, and I could tell I had a long way to go. And so, the young but determined past me stayed out every practice, trying to get better at juggling. Over the months, my records went up and up! 12,16,22,29,34,45,61,72 and soon I was at 113! This is where it went downhill though, during a holiday break, I didn't practice. I got really bad at juggling and no matter how much I practiced I could barely get 30! My spirit didn't dwindle though, I kept at it working hard. The numbers weren't for bragging rights to me as they were for the other players, they were simply representation of my hours of work and dedication into the sport. By the end of the year, I had more than 400 as my record. My coach bragged about my worth ethic, but I never let myself get self absorbed. I didn't want to be like this one other guy on my taem who had a really high juggling record and bragged about it. I don't think he was even telling the truth tbh (he never worked on juggling) but hey, maybe he did do it. Right now my juggling record is in the thousands and I still strive to improve!
