This blog contains a heavy dose of obscure fandom references, as well as possible cringe factor due to (faked) inexperience with the internet. If you cannot tolerate those, please go and read something else... but if you can, you're in for quite a ride.
Now to the actual story...
Back in January of this year I joined a Discord server run by a small Youtuber and made quite a few friends there. As far as I knew, everyone there was quite young (none below 30) and shared a common interest in Pokemon, which you may already know to be one of my main fandoms.
Now there was one random incident that inspired this very strange prank I did...
Now, in order to make it more convincing, I temporarily left the server because I had a bunch of roles (including Moderator). The fact that I was invisible at the time helped very much. I proceeded to change my name and profile pic to that of the character and rejoined the server with the help of my friend.
This was the first text I sent upon (re-)entering the server.
Eventually some more people showed up and started talking about a cursed fanfiction... the results were hilarious.
The same person also found a more wholesome iteration involving a character named Milo (the Grass Gym Leader in Pokemon Sword and Shield for those who don't know).
Now a special feature about this server is that you can pick roles to say which Pokemon Sword and Shield character is your favorite. CayCee's green name signified that they were a Milo Fan.
They explained how I could get the role with a bot but it didn't work. Thankfully a mod showed up and gave me the role (while also addressing me as Vincent).
Eventually the discussion changed to be about another character named Bede, and CayCee and Sasuke Lol started to feud over whose son he is.
Now Vincent is a lawyer and could hopefully settle this...
But then Joseph's Left Glove returns with another request... also they made no comment about the real-ness of this Vincent Edgeworth person who is now in the same server as them.
TL;DR Faiya pretends to be a 30-40 y/o, ambiguously real/fictional man who may not be familiar with the internet and popculture, but knows how and where to get adoption papers if they are needed.

Part 0: The Inspiration
The conversation that inspired this prank took place on February 20th... at least in my timezone. For others, it was still the 19th - the birthday of a certain PMC user (guess who in the comments!). And due to timezones I thought her birthday was on the 20th, same day as that of a main character from an obscure fandom I recently got into.
So I put this as my Discord status (didn't have a screenshot for this): 🎂 Happy birthday to [​PMC user] and Vincent Edgeworth!
At some point we started talking about JoJo's Bizarre Adventure and I brought up the fact that "I do know another big Jojo fan on another server/site, [​and] in fact it's their birthday today"
Owner wished them happy birthday but another person, Joseph's Left Glove, tried to guess who it was... and they guessed Vincent Edgeworth.
Cue them freaking out when I said "HE'S A FICTIONAL BOI"
Another time we started talking about JJBA again (specifically Kakyoin) and my friend mentioned that the one PMC user had a big Kakyoin phase (I told him about it)

Cut to April Fool's Day when I was thinking of what to do for a prank. Server owner decided to announce that he was a simp for the most hated characters of Pokemon Sword and Shield, and best friend decided to pull a Throwback Thursday and play as his actual character from another world, with all the trouble understanding the real world that comes with it.
I came across this screenshot in my camera roll and it got me thinking...
So I put this as my Discord status (didn't have a screenshot for this): 🎂 Happy birthday to [​PMC user] and Vincent Edgeworth!

But then Joseph's Left Glove returns with another request... also they made no comment about the real-ness of this Vincent Edgeworth person who is now in the same server as them.
Part 4: The Adoption Papers
They want a (young, also orphaned) Pokemon Trainer as their child too. (Probably expected due to their purple name tag signifying that they are an Allister Fan)
I literally went searching for an adoption paper on Google to make myself look like someone with real legal knowledge. And funny enough I didn't ask about the slang this time.
Eventually, though, I did get my hands on a copy of an adoption paper to give to Joseph's Left Glove.
Currently waiting for them to post the filled-out version on the server. Probably won't go back to my normal self until all has been said and done.
