Brief recap on what happened last time:

I sent some idiotic athletic soldiers to their deaths and I ran from the battle sight.

I ran on, gingerly holding my sword.

I had learned it wasn't a force to be reckoned with.

I stopped at a river to get a drink of water, but then continued.

I went past the old rotting ruins of a town and on, wandering aimlessly.

I eventually made it to a road and started to follow it, my anger at Armando and Mckee growing.

How dare they attack us!

I continued on along the road for what seemed like hours, hoping to see a city or something.

It didn't take long for that to happen.

A city rose up, snugly nestled between two mountains. The road sharply angled down and I followed it.

I took off running, making it to the place in no time.

I followed the streets shouting for help. Someone gave me directions to the city's visitor center.

As I walked I looked around, viewing the many houses.

Once I walked by a tavern. "Free drinks," a sign on the door read, "The Drunk Buck. Open 6:00 AM to Midnight. Ask the barkeep about our half price rooms."

I moved along, down an alley and past an open courtyard, the sun slanting between the tightly packed buildings to reach a long row of flowers.

A beggar sat at the corner, holding a sign. "Please! Please! I need money I can not pay my rent without it! I will be kicked out! Please, sir!"

I dug into my pocket and found a pouch full of gold. I took a few coins and dropped them to his feet.

He eagerly grabbed them up and howled, "I'm rich! I'm rich! Yahooo!"

I kept walking, wondering how I would make it in this city, I had only a small amount of gold, a sword, and the clothes on my back. I had been fed for free at the castle; How would I survive here?

I finally made it to the center and stood just outside, waiting, just waiting for someone to jump out of a trash can and shout, "Surprise! This was a joke!" But I knew it would never happen. I knew this was it: the end of the line. The place where I would end up like that beggar, nothing but skin and bones, hoping that someone will come along and be kind enough to help.
