Ok, I was browsing the planet minecraft texture pack section and I came across one called "Inversion Pack".
I thought it sounded cool and decided to click on it (since the uploader had provided no relevant pictures) and I could not see what the texture pack looked like. So I read the description which simply said "Inverted Texture Pack", now this really angered me as I had been working hard on my texture pack, just to find that this one got more downloads.
After that I decided to test how hard it would be to make a texture pack. It took me literally 20 seconds, because all it took was these steps:
1.Select all
2. Invert
Texture pack like these are all over PMC and they have to stop!
I have seen really simple texture pack's like the 2x2 pack getting front page, and I would have no problem with that as it is an original idea. The amount of "Simple", "Soft", "paper" and other texture packs is ridiculous. I have also seen many copies of disco's oCd pack where they have not put any effort in at all! They have just colored them a single shadeless color, and in some cases put lines around the outside!
original ideas like the first 2x2 or 8x8 or other simple packs with original ideas are fine, but these "Easy" texture packs are just a quick way for people to get Experience and levels!
Please Diamond so that people can see this, and maybe think twice before uploading these types of packs.

Y'know what grinds MY gears? When people upload Painterly Packs. I know pretty much what every Painterly texture looks like. So when someone uploads a Painterly Pack, and has modified it just so, I report it. They think we won't notice. I want levels too. Just enough to get the "Pokemon" class, then I'm done trying. I don't upload garbage, though. I actually try. I can't tell you how many player skins I've seen that look like the poster threw up on it. Maybe that topic belongs in its own rant.
