Before the 1.5.2 Factions update, you could add [FACTION] to an essentials chat prefix to make the faction name appear. Some of you may have noticed that this does not work anymore. The reason is that Factions has changed their chat sting layout.
The new layout is:
{faction_relcolour} Relationship colour: Enemy, Ally
{faction_roleprefix} ** for leader, * for moderator/officer
{faction_title} Your title inside the faction (to change it, do /f title [playername] [title])
{faction_tag} The actual faction name
USING THIS IN ESSENTIALS CHAT
format: '{WORLDNAME}&r &4[{GROUP}&4]&r {faction_relcolor}{faction_tag_pr}&r - {faction_relcolor}{faction_title}&r~ {DISPLAYNAME}&7:&r {MESSAGE}'
Example: 'Factions[Owner]Valkyrie - Queen ~ SkyGecko: Hey!
