In the year 2049, a group of countries formed a small republic, know as the Republic of Unsatisfied Nations. Led by what was formerly Taliban, they declared war on the UN. Two years later, an agreement was formed, but not before 30% of Earth was nuked.

Nowadays, a small group known as the United Nations Fallout Recovery Movement started helping everyone- UN and RUN alike- recover from the nuclear apocalypse. However, in what used to be Africa, units of the UNFRM's defense department, Phoenix, have started to go missing. It was recently discovered that the Apocalyptists, a group of radicals who believe that destruction was humanity's destiny, and that was why the war happened. They will stop at nothing to destroy planet Earth, and restore the planet's "Rightful Timeline".
