im going to learn you alot of stuff from minecraft every week
Lets start with survival starting
If you create a survival world the first thing you need is NOT wood
you need food
make a seed farm or search for animals.
After doing that.
Cut some wood.
Make a pickaxe
Mine stone for stone stools
Before nightfall you need some wood
When nightfall is arriving, go  in a big cave.
Mine some iron.
Make so fast as possible iron tools and armor.
You now have enough protection and wood
When its day start building your house.
