I was recently playing Minecraft, and started getting lost in my thoughts. This will often happen while building things. I began to think about just how amazing the concept of a game like Minecraft really was. Have you ever stopped and thought how insane it is, that in the world of Minecraft. All you have to do is imagine something. Then poof, it is all yours to explore... I mean it may take tedious hours, and hundreds and thousands of blocks. Nonetheless imagine it, and its yours. I know this isn't a strange concept in many aspects of life, but for a minute think of how many good games actually leave the entire world up to you? I mean sure in a sense, an rpg will leave a worlds fate up to you. Sometimes its even just the people in it if not the whole world. However, how may games actually let you CREATE said world? I've often compared minecraft to legos. Only they are the version where you never run out, and there are no blocks stuck in your foot at 2 am in the dark.... Lately I've been putting some time into my new mid evil town, and was fathoming at the idea of how cool it was that we all can just spill our ideas into virtual worlds.
