Why You Should Choose FTB
FTB is definitely not the very first modpack launcher, but it's definitely the best. Born from the original map by the same name made by SlowPoke and his team of builders, FTB is one of the three great modpacks that rule over the modding world with a silver grip of sparkly fabulousity. Out of all three, it is the most fabulous without a doubt.
More mods available!
FTB's creators have personal relationships with a multitude of mods giving them access to mods that normally would not be distributed through other launchers. This includes mods like Thaumcraft 4 and Ars Magica. No other mod pack is allowed to use these mods. What's more is that all the other mods that they have in their packs they have permission for. Unlike the Technic Launcher who does not ask permission for many of it's mods. This keeps the game fun as well as keeping your conscience clear.
So many different packs!
Not only does FTB have a ton of mods, it uses them as well. FTB has created roughly thirty public mod packs that can be easily accessed by anyone through the launcher. No matter what you want to do, you can. There are RPG packs, tech packs, magic packs and also a voxel pack for you vanilla players, and if you don't like the packs provided you can even edit the packs to your own needs. The system FTB has is amazing because unlike what Technic has, you don't have to create an entirely new pack just to add a single mod! What's more is that when this mod is added the new pack isn't shared with the entire community so that you can have your own private packs!
Privacy With Your Packs!
But what if once you've made your own mod pack you do want to share it with the world? Well that's great! You can upload your pack to the private packs server which will then give you a code. This code can be put into the FTB launcher to access the pack that you made. This way only people that you want to have the pack can have it quickly and easily.
Quality Youtube Videos!
Unlike packs like Technic, FTB has a multitude of professional minecraft video makers that make youtube videos for FTB as well as making twitch streams for the launcher. This prevent you from having to sift for hours through millions of crappy youtube videos just to find one mildly good one.
Best community EVAR!
FTB has any amazing forum system with a nice supporting community that can help out with any and all technical issues as well as issues with mods. You can also share the beautiful creations that you have stored in your game. Forums like Technic support things like flaming. Not the FTB forums, they have a no nonsense policy that puts a stop to flaming and insults as soon as they happen.
