(I am the owner of MyMcHelp)

Hello, I'm Damian Founder Of MyMcHelp, today i'm going to show you how to own a successful server! First things first we need to get you a server! below are some links of the best server hosts to get you started! (DO NOT self host it make sure its from a paid host otherwise you wont have a playerbase)

Advertising The most important part of owning a successful server, advertising. Remember don't be that guy who goes onto a random server and advertises there's! Google "Minecraft Server List" and post yours there. But if that fails and you need players and you must advertise on other servers don't do it this way: "Yo, com on dis servr its da beast my.server.example plz" Do it like this "Hello Join This Server For The Funnest Time Of Your Life myserver.example"

Next let's go over some of the main server gamemodes:
  1. Factions/Survival
  2. Prison
  3. Hub/Minigame

Factions/Survival Alright I know its a classic server gamemode and there are thousands of these types of servers out there, so how are you going to stand out to others? First you must have a solid server, which means a well built spawn and staff (A youtuber helps too). With a factions server you need something no one else has a custom plugin... If you're just starting out chances are you have no idea how to code luckily there is a website to recruit developers and other staff members. (Click Here).

Prison This is the server that is more addicting than flappy bird, But it must be properly assembled to be successful. First off you need the basics and then some including unique pvp plugins, custom enchants and more
Hub/MinigameI'm here to help not shoot down your dreams but I know for a fact that you won't succeed with this one, why would people play on your server when there is hypixel or mineplex? But if you must own this type of servers some guidelines are:
  • Have custom minigames
  • Let donors have special perks (fly in hub, hats, etc.)
  • Have very little staff (if only staff are playing players will soon be bored

Whenever anyone gets on my server they get off in 2-3 minutes and never come back, do you know why?

Do you greet them. and have a simple to use spawn, and/or player base, what i learned from owning a server is that if chat is quiet and not many people are on, they are prone to leaving
