1.Have a long detailed application.
This is one of the most important things, if your application is not detailed showing that you worked hard the owner will not want you as a staff member, because it looks like you don't put any effort into your work.
2.Dont lie
Even though it may seem like you have to lie to get staff don't try it. You might get accepted but if the owner finds out you are going to loose a lot of hard earned trust.
3.Be friendly
This is also a big one, if you are arguing with other players a lot you won't look like a suitable admin. Try to get along with all if not most of the players and staff members on the server you may need people to vouch for you.
4.Don't ask about your promotion
If you bug the owner about your application it makes you seem power hungry and greedy. You should wait until they decide for themself and not rush them into any decisions.
5.Be active
This goes with number four, if you just log on the server to ask if you have been accepted that is a big increase of denial. Show the owner that you dont need a rank to enjoy their server, and just want to help out any way possible.
