Since i've made tutorials on how to download mods and texture packs for Windows, mine as well have a map downloading one!

Windows XP:
Open Start Menu
Click Run
Type in %appdata%
Click on .minecraft
When the .minecraft opens, look for a folder called saves.
Open saves,
(your map usually comes in a .zip or .rar, open it, take the folder with the map name in it, and insert it into the saves folder.)

Windows 7: (A lot like Windows XP)

Open Start Menu
Type in %appdata%

Level 8 : Apprentice Engineer

Well for some reason I have windows but it comes in this file that can only be opened by WinRAR. Then when you open it the file you see the map but I can't find out how to get the map out of the .zip file.
