Many people out there are wondering "Why doesn't anybody download my texture pack?" and still after reposting and redeleting the old post of your texture pack to try and get it up where people can see it, still no success.

First of all, you need catchy name or something that people will remember, not Marmalade1000347's Rainbowy and colorful texturepack. instead, try to think up a short, creative name for it.

second of all, show alot of snapshots of cool terrain, or things you (or other people, just give credit) 've built that look awesome. also, it looks cool to have atleast one screenshot showing you out in the wilderness at night, with alot of mobs chasing after you so they can see what zombies and other green mobs look like

third off, do quality work, dont just go in paint and draw scribbles all over a transparent background. Download a free photo editor (dont use microsoft paint, the default picture editor). Paint.net works really well, but if you have photoshop that is fine too.Try and add some shading (easy with paint.net), when people will see that most of the time people think that it is professional made and will download it

fourth, not alot of people have, want to go through the trouble of getting, cannot get due to mods, or just don't want mcpatcher, so try not to make your texturepack HD. There have been many a pack a newbie has seen and thought "Oh, this texture pack just looks so beautiful I could vomit my guts all over it, and it still look beautiful" until he scrolls down the page and im like "Dammit it needs mcpatcher, better find another texture pack". I know it may be way harder designing a TP without all those extra pixels, but it will be worth it.

fifth, be creative and original. Don't look at a nice texture pack that is new and has no diamonds and download it, unzip it, and put it into yours. you could get banned from PMC so i would not risk it. If there are a million realistic textures out there, dont go and make a realistic texture. instead be creative and be like.... hmmm aha! i cn make an UNrealistic texture pack!

sixth, Don't expect yours to be on the front page just because you follow good advice, that is where the best of the best texture packs live. if you just put it up it might take a while for it t become famous or maybe even not at all, but not everyone is famous, if so then noone would be(think about it). one of the biggest problems is that people overrate their packs and then noone downloads it, from what i know it could look like what my cat did this morning in her litterbox, so try to make it look better, and constantly improve it.
