How to Install Optifine

Sally, ho! Today we are going to be install Optifine directly into Minecraft itself! First, go to Optifine's site. Select any verison of Optifine and download it. Elua and other saftey add-ons will be needed. Now, go to your minecraft folder. Go to the verisons folden. Create a new folder named "Optifine". Now, if you haven't already, play the verison of Minecraft you selected for Optifine. Now, if you haven't installed it, download WinRAR. I won't be making a tutorial because I would be advertising. But, you need this to look inside of the folders. Now, use WinRAR to open Optifine. Select "Extract To", select the + next to Desktop, press "New Folder", call the folder Extraction, and select "Ok". Now once the extraction has finished, go into the verisons folder and copy all the files in the folder to your 'Optifine' folder. Now, use Code Editor or WordPad to edit the .json file. Edit the id section from 1.8.1(or something else) to Optifine. Rename the .jar and the .json to Optifine. Now, use WinRAR to open the Optifine.jar. Copy everything in the extraction folder into te Optifine.jar. You will do this by selecting 'Add', selecting 'Desktop', select 'Extraction', hold shift and the down arrow until all of the files are selected, select 'Ok', select 'Ok'(this is not an accident). Once that is done, you have it done!!!

OPTIONAL: Making the Profile

Now that you have Optifine installed, you need the profile. Create the profile and select the MC verison titled 'Optifine'. Select 'Save Profile' and your done!!!
