Only thing i cant do for you is, open port 25565. Google on 'open minecraft server port 25565'.
Tutorial.
#1 First you need to download my (preconfigured) server file and Notepad++.
Server: www.filedropper.com/server-hypertraxx-
Notepad++: notepad-plus-plus.org/download/v6.1.2.html
#2 When downloaded Install notepad++. And extract my file to a folder you like.
#3 Go into the server folder and double click on 'server.properties'
#4 Change 'server-ip=IPHERE' to your ip. you can find your ip-adress on whatismyip.com
For example if your ip is 127.0.0.1, you do it like this:
#5 Save the file. Really, SAVE IT.
#6 Close notepad and go back into the server folder, you see a folder called 'plugins'. Double click on that.
#7 Now you see a couple folders. Double click on 'PermissionsBukkit' folder.
#8 There is a file in there called 'config.yml'.
#9 Right click on 'config.yml' and choose edit with notepad++.
#10 Now you see alot of crap that might freak the shit outta you, don't worrie. Scroll all the way down until you see 'users:' Now these are the users of my private server you see there. Now, you want to make yourself ADMIN of the server. Simply replace 'Codex' or 'ProLite20' or 'BTM909' with your Ingame Name. For example we use a forum members name:
#11 If you want to make your friend admin aswel, replace any of the other names which have 'admin' under them with his name. However if you want to make him a normal member with less power (like kicking people) you can replace his name with someone who has 'member' under there name. For example 'Shiane' or 'calxllum'.
#12 Now SAVE that file. And close notepad++.
#13 Now go back to the root of the server folder. You'll see a file thats called 'Start Server.bat'.
#14 Double click that, now you will see a CMD window popping out. It might take a while for the server to start as it has to create a new world. When you did everything successfully. So i mean also openin port 25565. you should see something like this:
If you see that, than its time to play. You just go in minecraft select multiplayer and click on add server. In the server ip form you fill your ip-adress found on whatismyip.com
Give it a name, and click connect. Enjoy playing. When you stop playing, make sure to type in the console 'stop' and press enter. This way it saves everything. Without the map getting corrupt.
