In this blog, I will show you how to make a simple underwater base for the first day you log onto a PvP/Factions server. This is also a great way to find underwater mines.
Before you even think about making a base, you need some wood. You are f**ked without ANY wood to make your trap door with. You need at least 3 Wooden logs-or 10 wooden planks-in order to make a trapdoor (4 planks go towards the crafting table). Craft 2 trapdoors by filling the first two rows horizontally with planks. After you craft said trapdoors, look for a nearby Lake or Ocean. Make sure said water biome is deep enough for you to remain undetected.
Go underwater and start digging about 3 blocks down into the seafloor. If you are fast enough, you won't need to come up for air. In other words, use a shovel. If you want to go really deep, use the other trapdoor as a nearby air bubble.
Once you dig 3 blocks into the sea floor, sink into the hole, then place the trapdoor above your head.
Open the trapdoor and place a block (dirt is preffered) to cover your trapdoor.
After that, make some room around you, decorate, and there you go. A dinky little underwater base. Don't forget to use common sense and bring more Wood/Cobble etc. Give a diamond if this tutorial was helpful.
