Ok this guild is for new Minecrafters.........first, go into single player and click "create new world" make a name for it and press "create new world" your world should generate after 10 seconds or so. you would then want to find a tree and hit it untill it pops out a miniture wood log, pick it up and make a crafting table (put the log in your inventory small crafting table and put the planks you got from the log and put it in a square shape and you should get a crafting table.) then place it down anywhere you want on the ground, click it (not punch it) then put two planks down in a tower shape up the middle and you should get 4 sticks, make a tower shape up the middle with 2 sticks and put 3 wooden planks on the top row, and wala! you got a wooden pick! (you can make more powerful picks with other materials like cobblestone in the same shape as a wooden axe) the pick is one of the most important tools in Minecraft.
