What's up everybody?
This tutorial will teach you how to make your own texture packs, or just edit items!
I'm totally awesome no pro at texture packs but I know how to make them. So without further ado, here we go :D
Step 1
- You'll need an editing program. Many people use Gimp 2 and Paint.net, but I've had more experience with Paint.net
Gimp- http://www.gimp.org/
Paint.net- http://www.getpaint.net/
Step 2
- Open up your Minecraft.jar ( %appdata%> Roaming> .minecraft> bin)
- Copy these files to a location of your choice...
- mob
- armour
- item
- misc
- enviroment
- title
- art
- gui
- terrain
- Now scroll down and copy these files...
- terrain.png
- pack.png
- particles.png
- pack.txt
Step 3
- explore the folders and discover which one contains armour, pumpkin blur etc...
- terrain.png has all the block textures
- open a png of your choice with your editor (paint.net/gimp)
- edit away!
- pack.png is the icon for your texturepack
- pack.txt is the description
Step 4
- the final step is turning your files into a .zip or .rar file
- you're done!
If you have any questions comment below, and as always a diamond goes a long way!
