Hey Guys! This is a pretty major Tutorial. :O You guys are probably like, "STFU AND JUST TELL US" Okay, i will, xD.
Here's a Step by Step Tutorial!
Start (At bottom left corner)
%appdata%;Roaming-.minecraft
Bin; LEFT CLICK THEN RIGHT CLICK ON "minecraft" (Minecraft.jar)
Open with WinRAR Archive or whatever archiving program you are using.
Get these folders:
achievement
armor
art (I think :P, but drag it in anyways!)
environment
font
gui
item
misc
mob
net (I am not sure, on that one, but drag it in anyway, if it doesn't belong there, it won't harm your TexturePack.
title
terrain (Windows Live Photo Gallery File)
pack (Windows Live Gallery File)
particles (Windows Live Gallery File)
Once you have those, go yo your desktop, and create a new folder, name it what you want your TexturePack to be named. (EXAMPLE: EpicCraft) :D
Drag those files that i told you to get, into your TexturePack Folder.
Now edit ANYTHING with Gimp!
When you are done with your TexturePack, do this:
Left click then right click your folder on your desktop (TexturePack folder) and do this:
Add to archive...
Name it what you want, REMEMBER TO SAVE IT AS A .ZIP, NOT A .RAR (etc.)
If you wanna make it downloadable you can just go to Mediafire.com, make a account, or sign in, click "Upload" click the "+" button, then go to Desktop, and get your WinRAR TexturePack folder, not the original one!
Upload it, Copy Link, then go to PlanetMinecraft.com or whatever, and put it on your account and there you go :)
Yep, i got the Links YOU need!
In order to get the .minecraft folder and any of the Minecraft folders, you need to buy this:
http://minecraft.net/
In order to edit your TexturePack: (Gimp)
http://www.gimp.org/
WARNING! YOU CANNOT USE PAINT FOR MAKING A TEXTUREPACK BECAUSE THE WHITE IN THE BACKGROUND! YOUR TEXTUREPACK WILL TURN OUT WITH WHITE THIN BOXES AROUND YOUR ITEMS! Especially for Swords etc, stuff that isn't a complete block. :)
WinRAR:
http://www.win-rar.com/download.html?&L=0
(That's the program I use, you can use 7-Zip or whatever.)
Awesome Tutorials if you need to actually see someone doing this!

I will make a video on this myself. Oh, if you don't know how to use GIMP, here is a tutorial:
