Lately, I have seen a lot of people having trouble with creating a good faction. So I am going to show you some basic stuff for creating a good faction, and then more tips.

BASICS
1. Lets start with creating the faction. To create a faction, you must type /f create (Faction name). Boom, you got your very own faction, right there.
2. Now, lets add a description to your faction. Type /f desc (Description). It doesn't have to be much, it just prevents your faction from looking like a noob faction.
3. Now that you have your own faction, go find somewhere to make your base (Look at the section "Making a base" for more info). Now, claim that land for your faction by typing /f claim. Do this whenever yo are in your base and ~wilderness pops up.
4. Now that you have your own base, start recruiting! Try to get one of your friends in your faction, and as for everyone else, make sure you trust them before letting them in. You don't want anyone griefing your base while you are gone or afk!
5. Now you have the basics down.

ADVANCED

I. Making a Base
1. Lets go over some rules for your base before we begin. DO NOT EVER make a base above ground. Your base will be raided over night. MAKE IT DEEP. Make it so deep that it will be impossible to see your name tag when you are above ground.
2.. Start looking for a good spot for your base entrance. The side of a mountain is always a good spot.
3. Start digging the stairs down to your base. Be sure to cover up the entrance with something that makes it look natural, like dirt or stone. Don't EVER use wood or planks or cobble.
4. Keep digging until you are at at LEAST layer 20. Then, start your main room of the base. If you have a bunch of people in your faction, make the main room around 5x20x4.
5. Now it is time to make your member's rooms. Make the rooms fairly big and make sure that the rooms stay within the claimed land.
6. Decorate your base! Decorate with lava falls or waterfalls surrounded by transparent blocks, such as iron bars,glass, and glass panes.

II. Making your base Anti-griefable.
1. Start with some traps in your base. Make sure all your members know where the traps are.
2. Hide your base. Cover up the entrance with something natural, such as dirt or stone. NEVER use planks or cobble.
3. Plant trees in front of the base. Not only does it make it more hidden, but it also makes it look more natural.
4. NEVER start chopping down a tree and not finishing. It tells griefers that "Somebody has been here before". So basically, it is saying HEY EVERYONE! MY BASE IS AROUND HERE.
5. NEVER build anything around it. It is basically the same as unfinished trees.

III. Raiding
1. In order to raid, you must first find a base or a house. Typing /f map will really help you out, as it shows where claimed land is. Look for signs of people being in the area before, such as traps or random lava spouts or unfinished trees or saplings.
2. Now that you found your base, time to raid. Gather everything that you want from chests, and grab all the decorational blocks you need. Now, finish your raid with a flint and steel burning it down, or fill the base with tnt and KABOOM.
3. Sometimes, you cant grief the land because it is claimed by another faction. All you got to do is /f claim to claim the foes land for your own. Sometimes you cant do that because the foe is too powerful for your faction to claim (This is because the faction has more members than you). So, all you do to blow it up is to make a tnt cannon and aim then fire away.

IV. This means war.
1. Sometimes, a faction will declare war on yours. This will make it so that you will have an enemy. The first step to beating your enemy is to get some allys. Type /f ally (faction name) to inform the other faction that you want to be allys with them. They can accept or deny this request.
2. Sometimes, another faction makes you mad, so you want to declare war on them. Type /f enemy (faction name) to make them your enemy.
3. Sometimes, you want to make another faction just nuetral. Type /f nuetral (faction name).

So there you got it folks. Go out there and make the biggest faction ever!
