I joined Minecraft in the middle of 1.7.3. Just on the edge of the collapsing of Minecraft, I enjoyed every moment. Soon after came Beta 1.8 pre-release, then Beta 1.8. Beta 1.8 was just the start of the screw up, then came Minecraft 1.0, the biggest fail in video game history (in my opinion). What was originally fun for its simplicity, challenges, never-ending gameplay, and monsters became a bore fest with hunger, alchemy, enchantments, and magic. What was worst of all was the addition of a actual story that was shone after you travel to The End and kill the Enderdragon along with the ability to win it! So, if you want to play the storyless, magicless, and fun original, keep reading!

As I have said, Notch screwed up Minecraft. Well, to make it more fun and like the original, do these steps:

1. Download the Mid-Beta texture pack from Nostalgia-Craft.

Now, apply that texture pack. Make a new world called "World 1". Make sure to turn land formations OFF. Then, pause the game, select "Options" and click "Video Settings" and make sure these options are like this:

(Any means that you can have any option for it)

Graphics: Any
Render Distance: Any
Smooth Lighting: Any
Performance: Any
3D Anaglyph: OFF
View Bobbing: OFF
GUI Scale: Auto
Advanced OpenGL: Any
Brightness: Moody
Clouds: ON
Particles: All

Almost there! Just some simple rules left!

1. NO MODS (Not even the Nostalgic Pack)
2. NO OTHER TEXTURE PACKS!
3. DON'T CHANGE ANY OPTIONS!
4. NO USING ALCHEMY/ENCHANTMENT TABLES!
5. STAY ON THE NORMAL ENGLISH LANGUAGE!
