here is my recommended dwarves vs zombies server for the United states: pvp.lihp.eu NOTICE since this server needs constant admin attention, it is only available to play from around 2:00pm eastern time to 7:30pm eastern time.
when you get on the server, you will be in a circular area. head to one of the areas with a button, and a redstone lamp. there may not be anything there for 5 minutes or so, but be patient. once the dispencers appear above the redstone lamps, hit the button. if you get gold nugget, you are a dwarf. if you want to find out about how to play as a dwarf, open the "if you become a dwarf" section. use the build button(right-click is default) to get a quick summary of the spell, and the destroy button(left-click is default) to use the spell. some spells, like the become dwarf spell with the gold nugget, require you to press the build button before you can use it. if you get anything other than a gold nugget i.e. nether wart(become monster spell) or if you become an assassin (1%chance of becoming an assassin), open the "If you become a monster or if you die" spoiler.
when you cut down trees, every 5 blocks of wood or so, you get 15-25 feathers and flint for arrows.
so after 2 or 3 days of building and collecting, there will be an enderdragon.
whoever kills the enderdragon becomes the dragon warrior.
the dragon warrior is essentialy THE GUY you want to become become he has super-enchanted items and rare weapons. the thing about this is, when the dragon warrior DOES die, he cannot become a monster(legend says his heart is to pure).
once the dragon is gone, the monsters are set loose.
the monsters are actually players who got on to late or players who have died.
once you die, you fight for the monster side.
if you become a zombie, try to get to the front wall or shrine areas and use the sacrfice spell on the enchantment tables to have a 10% chance of destroying them and conquering that area.(the sacrifice spell takes the shape of a ghast tear)
when the monsters have conquered both the front wall AND the shrine and killed all of the dwarves, then the server kicks everyone.then they take 15 mins or so to reset and then you can come on again and fight again!
and thats the general gist.
spells that you can use
summon stone spell:summons about 15 of each type of stone brick, and some jackolanterns or torches
summon food spell: gives you 2 cakes
warp to shrine spell: warps you to the shrine area
warp to front wall spell: warps you to the front wall
become dwarf spell: lets you become a dwarf at the start of the game(represented by a magma cream)
become monster spell: gives you a selection of disks to use to become a monster(represented by a nether wart)
suicide spell: only usable by monsters. allows you to kill yourself(represented by a ghast tear)
monsters you are able to become*
*all monsters are able to use the suicide spell
zombie: the main monster of Dwarves vs Zombies the zombie class is the most balanced of all monster classes. They receive an iron sword with a sharpness enchant imbued onto it as well as 5 drinkable heal potions. Decently armoured zombies are the front line fighting monsters and can easily kill an unprepared dwarf by themselves, but should only attack with the support of their fellow monsters otherwise.
skeleton :the skeleton is the ranged class of the monsters and spawn with ladders used for scaling walls. Their bows are powerfully enchanted with knockback, power, fire and infinite so their arrows should be avoided. However they lack any real strength up close and their armour won't withstand a blade.
creeper :a class that does exactly what you'd expect it to. When playing as the creeper your goal should be to blow a hole into the dwarven keep. A creeper explosion will do about 5 hearts of damage to a dwarf unless blocked. If you see a dwarf blocking with his sword don't bother to explode on him. Move past him and a place to blow a hole. using the destroy button, the gunpowder will instantly cause you to suicide and explode.
spider :the spiders are a supporting class, they do minimal damage by themselves, but their abilities make up for that. A spider is given a spider eye which, when you use the destroy button, will have a chance of applying poisons to the target. A 30% of success for each effect: blindness, dizzyness, and a small few seconds of poison. This percentage to apply works best when spamming the destroy button at a single dwarf until effects have probably applied before moving on to the next dwarf. Right clicking with the spider eye will throw out a web that, when contacting a dwarf, will place a web block beneath their feet for a few seconds. Along with these powerful spell effects the spider is granted extreme speed and jumping capabilities, however their armour is fairly weak.
wolf :wolves are a melee class that spawn with three useful tools. One is an iron sword that is a bit weaker than a regular dwarf's, a gold sword enchanted with powerful knockback and flames, 5 wolf spawn eggs, and finally a bone. The wolf's two swords can easily be used together for dealing efficient damage to a dwarf. Whether opening with the gold sword to do the fire's damage over time when fighting or using it to throw a dwarf away from you to run away are the two major uses for it. Along with its decent armour the wolf's spawn eggs, when the build button is used, will spawn five wolves you can befriend and use to attack the dwarves with.
blaze:the blaze is a support ranged class for the monsters that when around will give buffs to monsters making it a good idea for skeletons to escort this monster; these buffs include damage absorption and heals. The firecharge a blaze spawns with will shoot out a barrage of fireballs that will damage stone and deal heavy damage to dwarves. The blaze is a very slow monster.
zombie pigmen :this class is an advanced version of a zombie given a iron sword that deals increased damage to dwarves. When using the build button with this axe a barrage will trigger hitting all nearby dwarves in its area of effect. Alternating through using the build and destroy buttons is the best strategy for fighting dwarves as a zombie pigmen. Along with its powerful attacks and heavy armour a zombie pigmen can activate its map item by using the destroy button to warp all zombies to its positions as long as that zombie is still holding its map. This will warp an average of fifteen players in late game shrine assaults making a sneaky play plausible. When warping all zombies to him a large number of lightning bolts will strike his or her position alerting all dwarves.
rare weapons or potions*
*it is recommended to use the destroy button on potions to make them last more than once
speed potion:this potion, when the destroy button is used, will give ONLY THE DWARF WHO USED THE POTION speed for around 2 minutes.
health potion:this potion, when the destroy button is used, throws out a potion that will give all nearby dwarves around 8 hearts.
rage potion:this potion, when the destroy button is used, like the normal healing potion, will throw out a potion that will grant all nearby dwarves the strength buff which in turn causes dwarves to hit monsters harder with their attacks.
fire resist potion:this potion, when the destroy button is used, like the normal healing potion, will throw out a potion that will grant all nearby dwarves the fire resist buff which in turn grants immunity to lava and fire.
easy-fix brick:the easy-fix brick throws up a 8 high x 15 long x 1 wide wall of bricks designed to halt monster progression. These are best used to block off passages that will prevent monsters from flooding into the shrine. Because this item's wall only lasts thirty seconds (or until it is broken) Dwarves will still need to place regular stone behind it to construct a permanent wall.(represented by a double stone half-slab)
shield:the shield grants the user a six second period of 99% damage reduction to all incoming attacks (and fall damage) when the destroy button is used. The shield however consumes a large amount of mana when used and should only be used in emergencies. using the build button with the shield will knockback nearby enemies.(represented by a piston head)
berserker axe:the berserker axe, which appears as a diamond axe, gives the user super speed when it is swung at a monster. After hitting a monster, the user can move faster, and swing faster than normal. The beserker axe also pierces armour, so it does more damage to heavily armoured enemies. Right clicking the axe will trigger the Heroic Leap effect of this weapon which causes the Dwarf to leap forward. Jumping before a Heroic Leap will cause the Dwarf to go further. The diamond axe provides Dwarves with the most mobility possible.(represented by a diamond axe)
the flail:the flail, which appears as a fishing rod, sends out an Ender dragon egg whenever it is left clicked that has a heavy arc downward. Whenever the egg hits anything it spreads out causing an AoE hit and knockback effect of up to three monsters. The flail is useful in almost all situations, but should never be used when fighting monsters higher up than you even as they will only scale the height of one block before falling.(represented by a fishing rod)
water staff:the water staff, which appears as a diamond hoe, grants the user the power to both pick targets off from a distance similar to, but more accurate than a bow and freeze large groups of monsters when in close range. using the destroy button when a monster is within range and on your reticle will cause said monster to fly up into the air receiving both damage that ignores armor.using the build button will throw a block of ice outward that, when striking a monster, will activate a slowness buff for about five seconds. The water staff is preferred over the usual Dwarven bow for its accuracy and three-shot capabilities(represented by a diamond hoe)
