Welcome to my first blog/tutorial! All I can say about myself is that I made Ghast Blast. Anything else? I like playing Minecraft (duh)! But I, like others before me, don't always like some of the new features and complicated gameplay being added to Minecraft. A lot of people would say the piston update was the best time in Minecraft. Others like all the new things being added. What should you do if you don't like (for example) 1.6.2.? It's pretty easy, actually!
Others already know this, but as of now, if you use the new launcher features you can play all the way back to Minecraft 1.0! (alpha and beta too, but they are marked as unstable) Are you one of the people who want to see all the new stuff? you can play recent snapshots right from the launcher too! (Again, for all the people who didn't know this before) Here is a helpful guide to playing on all past versions of Minecraft:
First, open the minecraft 1.6.2. (or 1.6.4.) launcher
Second, click 'edit profile' at the bottom left. a small window should pop up that looks like this:
Third,in the 'version selection' area, click on the bar that says 'use latest version' and select the version you wish to play on. (You can also check the boxes to allow alpha and beta versions but they are unstable and can contain bugs)
Fourth, click 'save profile' and then click play. Remember to check the bottom right to see which version you are currently playing on!
And Fifth, start playing! You have just learned how to play on ALL THE VERSIONS! :D (past versions, that is)
Please comment to tell me of any errors in this tutorial, as well as ways I could improve it! (It is my first tutorial, after all) And don't forget that diamond! (I bet you're tired of hearing that, but they do help)
