Having problems, you on an old computer? Fed up of LAG?

Here's a few tips on how to cut down on lag, and possibly even remove it.

This is for Minecraft 1.0.0 ....  It will work for Beta, and possibly Alpha versions.

-Best thing to do is install Optifine.

1. When playing minecraft , close all your other programs that you are not using, like Internet , or Photoshop, or Paint.

2. Get the latest version of Java. Minecraft depends on Java, give it what it wants! Java provide a handy little tool on their website to tell you if you have the newest one: http://java.com/en/download/installed.jsp

3. On the Minecraft VIDEO SETTINGS PANEL.

Graphics: FAST (not fancy)

Smooth Lighting: ON (or off, whatever you like)

3D Anaglyph: OFF (who needs 3D anyway)

GUI Scale: AUTO

Brightness: Do what you want, this doesn't affect lag

Particles: ALL

----

Render Distance = Short, or Tiny. (You will only need Normal & Higher when you are making massive bases and epic builds and stuff.)

Performance: MAX FPS ( important setting )

View Bobbing: On, or Off ( Doesn't affect lag)

Advanced OpenGL: On ( It just supports Minecraft )

Clouds: OFF (this option varies on different versions of minecraft)

THANKS FOR READING. HAVE A LAG-FREE DAY!
