Welcome Minecrafter,

You may be asking now 'what is this place?' 'its all blocky'

Well this is Minecraft, a world where you can do whatever you can imagine.

So you want to know how you can survive in this world? I will tell you how.

Step 1. Install the game, by reading this I am presuming you already have the game.... But ill tell you anyway.

- Go to www.minecraft.net
- Click 'buy now'
- Choose whether to use a gift code, or to buy the game yourself. ($26.95)
- Follow the instruction on screen until you have the game
- Log into minecraft.net
- Under 'play minecraft' click download
- Find the file and double click it to run
- Follow the on screen instructions then type in your login details.
- You can now start the game :D

Step 2. Use W A S D to walk and use your mouse to look around the screen. Use space bar to jump and shift to sneak, sneak stop you from falling off blocks.

- Use the numbers on your keyboard or the scroll on your mouse to move your hot bar selection.

Step 3. Start collecting wood.

- Use wasd to walk over to a tree, hold the left button on your mouse while pointing at one of the logs to start breaking it.
- When it breaks a smaller items will appear, walk over it and you will pick it up.

Step 4. Once you have collected around 10-20 peices of this wood, press 'E' to open your inventory.



Left click on the peice of wood and drag it into the 2x2 sqaure in the top right corner. Left click to place it into this square. On the right of this is a single box. Wooden planks will appear here. Left click on the square to get 4 items or hold shift and left click to make all your logs into planks.

Step 5 Start crafting :

- Once you have 4 planks, fill the entire 2x2 with them, you should then have a crafting bench. Click and place this into your hotbar. Then press 'esc' to close your inventory.

Scroll over to the bench, aim where you want the block to go and press right click.



Now right click on this block to open your crafting menu. This allows you to make all the items necessary to fight and survive in minecraft. The first thing we want to make is a wooden pickaxe (wood is the lowest grade material, meaning its slow and doesn't last for long).

To make this we will need to make sticks. Make stick by placing two planks in a vertical pattern.
