Some people say video games are terrible and rot your minds but I have a completely opposite view, I think they are a positive influence on a persons life. They can help teach you new things, morals, and even life lessons. They can teach you how some people are and if you play online they can help you develop social skills.
The earliest Christmas I can remember was the Christmas I got a Gameboy Color. The game I got to go with it was a Pokemon game, after my favorite show. Now I don't know if you have played a Pokemon game before but no one talks, you have to read what they are saying. being as young as I was i couldn't read much more than my name and simple words like cat, dog, and nothing more than four letters. However wanting to play this game so bad, with help from my Mom and working really hard to read and write I got better and better and learned a lot of bigger words from Pokemon. This put me a lot ahead of the other kids in my grade in English and made me a great reader. This has continued with me as I am still one of the best readers, writers, and spellers in my grade making English probably my best subject. This will always carry on with me and help me forever in life. Who knows what would have happened without that Pokemon game, I may have never had picked up an interest in reading like that.

In many games you have the choice of being good or evil. Choices are put before you and you must act on them, knowing your choices will affect many things in the game and affect you as a person. This can be found in games like The Elder Scrolls, Fable Games, Knights of The Old Republics, and The Sims. This i believed also helped me learn at a younger age how important some decisions can be. And also that there are consequences, good or bad, for every action I take. Many people learn this stuff from school, church, and their parents. Which I did as well but I believe what I did in video games had a more impacting effect. At the time I probably didn't realize this or care to realize this but now looking back, it's easy to see.

The final, and maybe the most important way video games changed my life, was the joy they brought me and still bring me. Of course I ran around and had fun outside as a kid but I also loved to play video games. Playing handheld games in the car made riding in the car fun and enjoyable instead of a boring wait. They have brought me joy, given me something fun and healthy to do, and made my life funner. Video games are something anyone in the World can play and enjoy and have loads of fun. That's whether its a Facebook game, PC Game, or just a game on your phone. Video games are very enjoyable and can bring fun to people, something I don't think many people realize. And this is how video games have changed my life, for the better.

Minecraft helped me understand English and tell People about EarthBound, so it spread.

I totally agree with this:
