chapter 11.
"OH stop being lazy mid." i sighed looking down at midnight who was trying to get me to pick her up. "Look. there it is. thats my hou-" i shut my mouth and stared at the house.
thats not right.. there was a drawing in the window of my room. it was on the outside there was no way they went through all the trouble to get a drawing. i drew a drawing of the king with a arrow through his heart. it comforted me.
"stay close mid.. some things not right." i whispered to midnight. i walked slowly toward the house with my dagger out and ready.
i opened the door slowly so it wouldn't squeak. i looked around and saw nothing. the door lead in to the living room which was small even with the kitchen connecting to it.on the right was the stairs that lead to the 3 bed rooms and bathroom. the furniture was all gone and all they left was one bed. i walked up the moss worn out stairs and looked around.
the paintings that were on the walls were gone only leaving a faint lighter square behind where they use to hang. i walked in to the bed room and froze.
"Lexi? Drake... what happened to you.." i said staring at their faces. they were sitting in chairs and were roped up. Drake let a tear roll down he cheek and pointed his eyes to my old closet.
"Drake... whats going on..." i stuttered out walking slowly to the closet. he looked down. i looked at Lexi who was just staring off into space. i whirled my head around to the closet at the sound of midnight's growl. everything happened so fast.
the door sung open. two guards grabbed Lexi and Drake while one grabbed me. they ragged us to a cart. how didnt i see it. i kicked and screamed but the guard was faster he took me dagger and bashes me over the head. the last thing i heard was a cold voice say bring the dog. its to weak anyway.they were wrong. and they made a very bad mistake. Not only did they not tie me up, but they didnt catch the dagger in my left pocket. me and midnight would get out of here. without Drake and Lexi.
