chapter 17
i woke up alone in a bed in what looked like a hut. i could see the door that lead out side and could see the lake. there were soft feather like warps around my shoulds and i woke up in a beatiful top made from feathers and a part of soft shorts. i looked down and saw a pair of fuzzy slipers. i got out of the bed and put the slippers on. i waked over to were i saw a mirror and combed my hair with a comb i saw there. it was hard because my hair was a mess but i got it to be untangled and look nice i took a feather that lied there and put it in my hair. i smiled at my self in the mirror. i havent looked this good in years. i heard foot steps coming close to where i was so i spun around only to see jake. his hair was still a mess but it was dry and cute. his armoor was still on. he smiled at me.
"you look stunning." he gasped comeing close to me and looking at me from head to toe. i did a little spin and smiled. he laughed and then looked at my sholders.
"do you feel ok?" he came closer and looked at my shoulder. my breathe got sharp again as he brushed his finger along my shoulder. he traced the wound making my wince. he stopped and frowned.
"oh sorry..." he sighed "i didnt mean to hurt you"
"no no.. its fine.." i smiled at him.
"oh. i sent a meessage to Drake. though we are no longer best buds i told him you where fine and you where with me. i invited him to stay here instead of going to twon but i have yet to hear from him." he explained looking at the feather in my hair.
"did i tell you how stunningly cute you are? because i have to say, i havent seen a girl like you in a long time." jake blushed. i laughed a bit. i learned that jake offten has to speak his mind on many things. he cant hold stuff in for long. well actually he could. but it was hard for him. he was sweet."so how did you find Lola?" i asked leaning against the huts wall. jake smiled and looked at me.
"well you see Lola saved me from a horrible faith. lets just say.. i owe her. so i repay her by keeping her off leash. she can leave when ever she wants. sort of like midnight huh?" he said looking down to midnight who appeared by my side. just then Drake stromed thourgh the door, he looked so angry.
"WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOUR DOING! YOU LITTLE SON OF A BI-"
"Excuse me drake!" i said getting annoyed of the way he was treating jake. drake froze. he was holding jake up by his collar but jake seemed to be holding back a laugh. drake droped jake and crossed his arms like a little kid. jake brushed off some dirt on his armor and looked disappointly at Drake.
"is that the way you greet your long lost brother?" jake shook his head and looked to the floor. i froze. Jake, the guy that swept me off my feet (literally) when i was broken hearted, was Drake's, the guy who i am starting to hate, brother. how? i looked to jake and then to drake but quickly back to jake. then i remember drakes story. Jake was supose to be dead. But he wasnt. i dont remember what happened after that, all i know is seeing them look at me in horror and hearing a whining sound coming from.. me.
chapter 18
i woke up back in jakes lap. he was strking my hair as he looked at his brother.
"yea are you so touchy with sam!" drake mutters still crossing his arms. i closed my eyes and just listened.
"you know i have a thing for animals... i can help myself.. shes like a cute like puppy..." jake trails off. i open my eyes slowly and look up at jake with a sleep smile. he smiles back at me and helped me sit up. i frowned and looked at drake.
"so.... what happened?" i askes trying to be cute like jake said.
"you fainted.. probably because of shock.." he mumbled and looked down to his shoes.
"so what happened to the whole 'i killed my brother' crap you told me." i asked but it came out more like a demand. jake froze and looked over to his brother.
"you... lied.. you said i was... dead?" he seemed hurt and looked at his lap.drake sighed and came over to hiks brither. he gave him a big hug and whispered, " i'm sorry... it wasnt all a lie.... they told me to kill you... so i pushed you off the cliff.... i didnt think lola was real.. i thought i was imangining things..... im just soo mad you never sent me a message." jake pushed drake off him and you could see fire in his eyes.
"YOU TRY TO KILL ME AND YOU THINK I WANT TO SEE OU AGAIN! YOUR A F-"
"EXCUSE ME!" I yelled, "IM IN THE ROOM AND IM SICK OF YOU TWO FIGHTING!" they both froze and looked down to the floor. sigh and lay my head down near jakes legs but not on them. he looks from me to drake and then stands up.
"if drake is stilling.. he stays out side.... i need some time to think." jake states and then walks away to another room in the hut. i frown and sit up. i take the feather from my hair and look at its beauty . i felt drake sit down on my bed and sigh.
"you know...... i saw the wa you looked at me wheni was kissing lexi.." he sighes and looks at me but i refuse to meet his gaze. "LOOK IM SORRY!" he shouts out. i look up at him. my eye were widen i and i think my jaw was hanging open. drake sighes and then punches the bed.
"im not as good with words as my brother... i just.. IM SORRY I HURT YOU... or.. UGH" he looked really frustered.
he looked at the floor and frowned. i closed my mouth and looked at he normaly.
"its..ok.....i..fine... i just.. i dont... was being... a.. girl.." i stutter out. he looked up at me and i felt a blush pla on my face. i tryed to smile but i dont think i could.
"jake is right you know.. you are pretty stunnly cute." he stated and with that his was out the door and in to the night. i slipped in to a feather sleeping gown i found in the hut and put it on. i sliped in the covers and closed my eyes. i was hurt, confused, and just plain tired.
chapter 19
"wake up sam." a soft vocie whispered. i woke up and smiled. there was jake hovering over my face and blushing. he sat down on my bed and i sat up.
"so you lovely creature, how are you doing with the overwhelming drama going on?" he asked a hint on sadness in his eyes.
"im doing ok.. its just alot to take in." i answered being pretty honest. jake got up and left the room. i got up and dressed up in the new clothes i got. i walked in to the room next to mine and saw jake outside. i walked over to where he was and looked at him. he was looking up in to the sk with a frown.
"you wanna go for another ride?" he asked looking over to lola. i smiled. he took m hand and walked me over to lola. he climbed up, help me up, and we took off in to the sky. i closed my ees and felt the breeze hit my i took in the sounds of the stream and the birds below us and the smell of fresh air. i heard a laugh from jake.
"it feels great doesnt it?"
"are you kidding me? i doubt any thing could feel better."
"you wanna bet?"
"your on." i said opening my eyes and smriking at him.
"ok," he replied, "but just know you agreed to this. i wrinkered my eye brow at him. he got close to me untill his face was only a few inches from mine. i heard our breathes getting sharp and short. he put his hand around my face and leaned in. before i knew it i was kissing him. i closed my eyes after he did and our kiss deepened. i smiled. he was right. this was a better feeling. we kissed for a while more and then he pulled away.
"so was i right" he whispered still close to my face. i opened my eyes.
"yes your right." i looked in to his eyes and leaned in to kiss him again. he didnt pull away. he grabed m face and pulled me closer. i wish the moment could last for ever, but lola got tired and landed back down on the ground. drake stood at the hut door and looked over to us as we landed.
"you two look pretty happy." he stated with a frown on his face.
"what can i say? the sky is a happy place." jake answered with a smirk.
drake went up to jake and muttered "you better have not landed a damn hand on her." jake smirked.
"dont worry i didnt do anything. right sam?" jake replied turning to me. i smiled and the nodded.
"we were just flying aorund." drake gave drake a death glare and walked away. when he was out of view me and jake laughed and ran inside.
i wish i could relive that morning forever.
chapter 20
the next day, while me and jake were having breakfast, drake and lexi came in.
"we have to move on to the next town. come on sam." drake stated looking at ake with a smirk. my eyes widened. i have forgotten about the city.
"but i like it here.. the stream, the forest.....ja-"
"if sam is leaving im comeing." jake demanded as he stood up.
"hey. hey. HEY! this isnt a place for ou jake you do even hav a -" jake goes to get some thing and returns with a big wooden staff.
"i dont have..... what?" jake ask with a smirk.drake mummble under his breathe and left with lexi. i got up and walked over to jake who planted a kiss on my forehead.
"he cant split us up like that." he laughed and placed a his arm around me. i hugged him and place m head in the crook of his neck.
"i got scared i wouldnt see you any more...." i whispered as a tear left m eye. his held me by my waist with one hand and used the other to stroke my hair.
"dont worry. i would never let him do that." he whispered. the day went on with my and jake packing up some stuff and talking.
"so what are we doing exactly?" he ask me as i packed my clothes.
"um.... pakcing? he laughed at my reply and came over to sit on the bed with me.
"im talking about us." he grabbed m hands and looked me in the eyes.
"well... its like dating but sercert..." i said looking at the ceiling.
"so what would we tell people who ask us what we are with out lieing or telling them.
"well.... i read a book before.. it was called awaken.... they refered to it as... super friends." i said looking back at him with a smile
"hmm what about...... "
"friend with benefits?" i said with a laugh. we both laughed about that but then setted with super friends.
"i want you to unstand that what ever happens... i love you." he whispered looking in my eyes. this was the first time i really heard him sa this so i smiled.
"i love you too." he kissed me and went to finish packing.
we stepped out of jakes hut, said bye to lola, and went to meet up with jake and lexi.
our adventure was about to begin.
