Hello everyone reading... I am about to tell you what my opinion on the most skins posted these times. I am going to be honest with you, they aren't good... Not saying that my ones are awesome but i atleast put effort into them.

Sometimes i check the first five skin pages and find that maybe two or three are good. But obviously they have about one or four downloads because the two-minute-skins are EATING all the attention.

Now i know there's a lot of people that have the same opinion as i have. I don't know what we or the staff could do to stop the posting of useless mob-textures with suit or steve with yellow shirt or something like that. But we know one thing for sure, saying stop isn't enough.

Maybe the staff could fix a system that only let the better skins show on the skin page. People could submit their skins to a skin moderator or so that would let the better skins be on the skin page and the rest.. not.

Thanks for reading

The easiest way to handle this is if a skin is breaking the rules (steve remix, mob skin, default texture camo, etc) and you happen across it then you can flag it and a moderator will remove it. Having moderators ok every submission prior to it posting would greatly reduce the amount of stolen content on the site though its not feasible. There are nearly 500,000 submissions to ~30 site moderators.

Also don't quit skinning, if you continue to put out good content you will eventually get a good subscriber base and your content will get more views as you go. One thing I would suggest is posting more in the forums or being in chat more. If you make a good impression upon people there they may look at your submissions.

No offense, but it doesn't seem like a great idea. I completely understand how you feel and I agree that there aren't a whole lot of great skins. But sending them in to a skin moderator is a little bit too much. That would mean that very little skins would be posted. Every skinner started somewhere, and I think these skinners need a start too. There are lots of blogs out there showing how to shade and what not, but not everyone is going to see them.

I know. Im just upset about this. There's a whole lot of skinners out there but most of them don't know how to shade or read blogs about making skins. When i was a noob at making skins i posted them on minecraftskins.com and not here. When i started to get better i also started to post my skins here. Too bad there's no solution for good skinners with few subscribers to get noticed...

Ya your right. I agree, but I'm not all for it, if you get what I mean. :)

Oh how I wish there was a moderation system when submitting something on the site, blogs maybe no mod needed. But everywhere else certainly does.
