Hello Planet Minecraft this is an I Believe essay for English Class Tell me what you think!
I believe if you put effort into a goal you will achieve your something. It was a balmy summer morning, and a perfect day to pitch some baseball. I had been working towards a complete game the whole season. It was the last inning and I have been pitching the whole game and my arm is exhausted.
First batter up, a tall lean 7th grader. I threw a pitch and he swung. The umpire yelled “STRIKE ONE.”
Next batter up to bat, a small but ample kid was up to bat the exact opposite appearance from the last batter. I threw the pitch, and the umpire yelled “BALL ONE.” I was angry in disbelief. But I continued to pitch. I threw the next pitch, it was a curveball and, the small chubby kid hit it to our marvelous infield. Our infield threw it to first base and the kid was barely halfway down the line so we threw him out easily.
Two down one to go! The last batter was up and he was a colossal 8th grader and I was reluctant to which pitch I should throw to him. So the catcher and I settled on a screwball. I threw the pitch and it was right outside the strike zone so the umpire yelled “BALL ONE.” Next pitch I threw was a fastball and it was right down the middle so the umpire called “STRIKE ONE!” The third pitch we settled on was my infamous curve ball. I threw the pitch and the batter hit it straight up in the air and our outfield caught the baseball. I had done it I just pitched a complete game, 1 hitter, shutout! The crowd and the team were going crazy because that was the best game I have ever pitched in my life.
Without this value that helps you achieve your goal I would never ever would be able to pitch that good of game. Or do a lot of things of my life. I would never be able to achieve extreme things and ideas I have! And this is what I believe.
