Well, this is my fourth interview. Today I've interviewed the wonderful Oblivion_Gamer!

S K I N  M A K I N G

1) How long have you been making skins for?
"The first skin I posted here was my first skin ever made - so I've been making skins for about 11months. :)"

2) What do you use to make skins?
"I use McSkin3D to make my skins, but I used to use Skindex. Until I realized how crappy that editor is and how much it limits your colors."

3) What do you find good in a skin?
"I think it's not really shading as much as it colors - shading is important, especially contrast, but that shading style to me doesn't really stick out to me when I'm scrolling through the latest skins. I more look at the color choices for hue-shifting, contrast, saturation/desaturation, and things like that. That's assuming the skin isn't stolen and is at least partially shaded e.e"

4) Is there anything you see a lot but don't particularly like?
"Oh lord... I see a lot of terribly boring teen skins, some of my old skins being guilty, but those don't really bother me as much as everyone starts somewhere, and my first skin was about as unoriginal as it gets so. But I'd say I see a lot of partpicking form other skins, even if they didn't use something like minersneedcoolshoes to do it. By this I mean I see people taking pieces of other people's skins, shading and all, and just copying it right into their skin, recoloring it, and claiming it as their own. Sadly, it is mostly the teen skinners who do this, which doesn't help the group being labeled as "unoriginal"."

5) What is your favourite style of skin?
"My favourite style of skin is well er, teen skins. I mean, I'm a 15 year old girl, going on 16 in March, and although I'm not obsessed with it as some girls, I love shopping for cute clothes, especially winter clothes. So designing any outfit I want with any colors I want on a cute little canvas I can then wear? You can probably see how I got obsessed with skinning."

6) Did anyone inspire you to make skins?
"I'd say three people inspired me the most. Meggles for being so god damn perfect at skinning, and for being the most amazingly kind person I've ever seen on the internet. Like nothing seems to make her upset and I'm just like how do you even... The second person would be RosiePlayz, someone I've been friends with since I joined the site. I remember fangirling when she subbed as I'd always admired her skins and would envy them when I saw them get popreel just because they seemed so creative. The last person who inspired me would be agapl00/Felinka. She doesn't seem to really like me, granted she has some reasons to, but her first 50 or so skins were all she had up when I started getting really active in skinning. I thought they were all perfect and wanted to be able to make skins like her."

1) What is your favourite colour?
"My favourite colors are light blue, purple, and grey. c: "

2) What is your favourite animal?
"My favourite animal is a raccoon - their little genetics-made mask is adorable."

3) Do you have any pets? What are they?
"Oh god... I have two dogs, three cats, and two rabbits. Though at one point I had six rabbits and a guinea pig thrown in the mix."

4) If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?
"Hmm... ability to stop time? Or control probabilty."

5) Do you like reading? What's your favourite book/series?
"Reading is the only way I survive school. My favourite series are the Divergent trilogy and the Shatter Me trilogy."

6) What games do you play?
"Kinda just a mix of this. I have an xbox and begged for games like The Walking Dead, GTA 5, and more, but then I never really ended up playing them. I mostly end up just sticking to Minecraft and occasionally other games when I get bored of that."

7) What music do you listen to?
"I don't really know what genre you'd call it, but I guess a kind of pop/electronic music? It's mostly just random songs off youtube that are often remixes of songs from random artists no one knows."
