Hello, and welcome to my interview with my lovely friend anonpmc2374344! They are a wonderful skin creator who's been around PMC since 2017, and are known for their "classical" style. ♥ They're also a delightful friend and a very kind, encouraging member of the PMC community. xI hope you enjoy our interview!
My questions are in dark purple; their answers are in blue.
1.What inspired you to start making Minecraft skins?
1. During the times when the Xbox 360 was getting popular, the game Minecraft was mentioned on YouTube quite a lot so I was intrigued to play. I didn't have a phone, being 11, at the time so my parent lent me their phone and I downloaded Minecraft Pocket Edition and fell in love (downloaded the app back when it was free!) The first thing I did was learnt how to build a Nether generator to get all the goodies!! I also managed to play some of the game back on Xbox with a controller, it was kind of confusing since I only played the game on mobile haha.
2. Do you have a persona? If so, what inspired you to create them?
2. My main ones are Candy, Evangeline (Lena), Sam and Elvira.
I get inspired by so many things and my main inspiration for Candy was Meggles' skin called (Sugary Symphony). The character looked so cute so I made a chibi neko-girl with a hyperactive personality named Candy! Back in 2015.
My inspiration for Evangeline (Lena) was (Ihascupquake's Oasis series skin), her character's hair reminded of the galaxy in someway so I made it a reality and gave Lena just that!, Lena is also 5'11" being the tallest persona I have!
Samantha (Sam) was inspired by the one and only IcarianPrince, his skin (Sketch Child 2.0) lead me to draw Sam, after that she evolved with love and now has an upcoming novel about her based around Scandinavia!
Elvira, well she was inspired by Oblivion's wonderful designs I do believe, though not quite sure since Elvira is the most original character I've made, others were based off of my inspirations and gradually turned into my own and got given personalities!
3. What is your favourite submission (that you have made)? Your favourite that someone else has made?
3. My favourite skin I've made throughout the years since 2015 is definitely (Candy Wishes!), her colour palette makes me so happy and I love drawing her because she puts me in a really good mood!
My favourite skin on Planet Minecraft is (Peach | Reshade Contest) by Angel. The skin's colour story is made up for interpretation and people can also shade the skin in their own style (as you can see I've liked so many Peach skins).
4. What would you consider to be your greatest accomplishment (either IRL or on PMC)?
4. My greatest accomplishment would probably be decorating my page back in 2019, it took me two years to figure out what the apples I needed to do haha. The other one would be getting to know my inspirations that have inspired me since late 2014!!
My in real life accomplishments would be gaining the motivation to draw traditionally again and write novels!!
5. What hobbies do you enjoy IRL?
5. I'm always character designing!!, reading, writing, hanging out with close friends also started collecting Lord Gris' (Portland based graphic designer!) stickers lately, love her so much and her art!
6. Do you have an inspiration (either for making skins or in real life)? If so, what do you like about them?
6. My main inspirations are: Oblivion, Meggles, LIL_Danica, LaurenAngels_ Shadedfire, IcarianPrince, Oceanelle, Warmth, Lethenia, thvmes, Rhines, Chabileo ♡ and you!! (Aethera) or Beverly ♡ You were the third person I subscribed to back in the day.
7. If you could add one feature to PMC, what would it be?
7. The feature would be very similar to the Time Machine but we could see all the deleted/removed skins that have been missing from this website over the years!
8. What advice would you give to a new PMC member?
8. My main advice would be - be active!, haha (even including me in this) post lots of skins and they don' have to be perfect or meet other people's standards either because you can always go back and edit. Decorate that page (even if it takes hours), totally worth it!
9. Do you have a current goal for your content? If so, what is it?
9. My goal is to be less worried about my skins being symmetrical; the more colourful and crazy the better! Who doesn't want that?
10. How would you describe yourself in three words?
10. Indecisive, creative and circumlocutory! (Haha yes)
