Hello, and welcome to my interview with LadyBerry! She is a fun and friendly skin creator who is very active in the PMC community, known especially for her many witty wallposts. :) i hope you enjoy our interview!
My questions are in lavender; her answers are in green.
1. What inspired you to start making Minecraft skins?
1. Well, at first I didn't have a real inspiration I just wanted to make skins to have them in Minecraft and I guess just make an oc or persona. But now I make skins to make other people happy, join contest and events and you know, just like grow with the community.
2. Do you have a persona? If so, what inspired you to create them?
2. Yes, I do have a persona and it's over here. What inspired me the most was just kinda me... but on the other side I wanted to make something that people and I would remember so I kind of went to that plain, easy and teenager style. I wanted it to be not very fancy. I also wanted my persona to remind me how much work I put into that, but also how lazy I was to make it plain and with no very small details. But that's what like the most about it.
3. What is your favourite submission (that you have made)? Your favourite that someone else has made?
3. Hmm... this is a hard question. I guess the fav one would be the skin Proud because I really do like the pastel colors. Now, I don't really have a "favorite" submission that someone else made. There are tons of skins that I really liked because of the palettes used or the shadings but if I would have to pick a favorite... I would rather not. Every skin is amazing, just in a different way. ♥
4. What is the origin of your username?
4. The origin of my username was/is from my PS4 nick: LadyStrawberry2. So I was known by that username back then. But when I got Minecraft on my pc and when I wanted to make an account on PMC... I thought that maybe that username would be too long. So I started brainstorming. That was when my sister came to me and just straightly said: "just call yourself LadyBerry" and she exited the room. That's the origin I guess (plus the story, you got a free story ayyy)
5. What hobbies do you enjoy IRL?
5. From the hobbies that include physical movements I have reading books, drawing and listening to music. But from the ones that I do include physical movements... I enjoy playing football and badminton.
6. Do you have an inspiration (either for making skins or in real life)? If so, what do you like about them?
6. Tbh, I have no inspirations whatsoever from making skins just because I hardly see people make aesthetic skin now. But in real life my inspirations are I think my parents. When I'm gonna be a full adult I wanna be just like them.
7. If you could do one thing to benefit the world, what would it be? If you could remove one negative thing from the world, what would it be?
7. Uhh, idk. Benefit: Better and more advanced technology. If we could have that weather problems would be solved and exploring the universe would be much easier. Negative thing to remove: that would be viruses. I would do anything to remove Covid from existence now.
8. What advice would you give to a new PMC member?
8. I would tell them to enjoy what they will be doing here, not take some thing too seriously and to have fun! I would really like them to remember that if they make something, they should be very proud of themselves. It doesn't matter if one person says "this skin is ugly"; if you like it, that's all that matters. Just ignore those kind of people. I would also tell them to be kind, nice and respectful to others.
9. Do you have a current goal for your content? If so, what is it?
9. Well, for now, not really. I just want to be known a bit better and make other members happy by posting skins and wall posts, and just have fun I guess.
10. How would you describe yourself in three words?
10. Hmm.. secret, aesthetic, disorganized. ♥
