This is an interview with Zitzabis (now Zitzabiscuit) I did 5 months ago. I meant to polish it up, add some personal commentary and post it, but I never got the motivation. In the next week, check back to *probably* see those things done. You could, in the meantime, diamond or favorite if you liked the interview. You could also subscribe for more content. Not being pushy about it or anything. You know. Now onto the interview...

What's up, dudes and dudettes? Camarilla here with an interview with Zitzabiscuit from 2015 that I wanted to share. There are six questions and six answers; questions are bold and answers are not. Here goes nothing!

You’re a very successful member of the Planet Minecraft community. How does having so many people see and like your work affect your drive to create more? The drive given to me my others only existed in the beginning. I started out wanting to get popular, hit pop reel and to be respected as a skinner. However, while I attempted to do that, I failed. Eventually, I just started to focus on skinning because I enjoyed it and grew from the tips of better skinners. So now, wether people like my skin or not, I'm still going to make skins just because I want to and like to.

What submission of yours do you think best captures your overall style and why?
Probably my Mage is a very good capture of my skinning style. It depicts my enjoyment in bright colours, non-realistic eyes and trying new things, such as the hair.

Your artistic style is very appealing to me. How long have you been doing art and what fuels you to keep going?
My art (non skins), I've been drawing since I was young. But only started to focus on it seriously since I was 13. I just drew on paper, but I liked to avoid pencil. I enjoyed pen since it taught me to not make mistakes, not get it right the first time, ensuring I got faster and if I messed up, I had to try again. The fuel for my art is well...music you might say or the friends around me. I am fueled with an idea or something I see. Then I listen to music and it just drifts me along while I draw and causes the artworks to commonly become surreal since music isn't factual, it's human.

Sorry if this seems like too much of a ‘generic interview question’, but what do you think made you popular and helped you stand out from the crowd?
I first began making texture packs, that really helped me to start practicing with pixel art and getting levels (no, I didn't rely on my packs to get me levels, but they just do). After that, it was community. Interacting with the community is a big thing. I became friends with a few streamers on the site and I was then invited to be part of the PMC Podcast. Apparently that's when a lot of people first knew I existed.

As a PMC chat moderator, you obviously have a lot on your plate but choose to stay in the position. What makes you enjoy it enough to continue? I enjoy giving back to PMC. Recently I haven't been as active as I would like due to life catching up to me. But I still enjoy coming onto PMC and helping out whenever I can. Many people like to say that they want to be a moderator, usually this is for power. Being a mod comes with a power, but it's very very limited and in reality, the moderator job isn't fun. Unless you have the goal to give back to the community and make it better, it's not a good position.

Is Planet Minecraft exhausting in your personal life, or can you balance it with the other things you do easily? I used to be extremely introverted and in an isolated area, so PMC was my life and my friends. But since going to college, it's harder to find justification to just browse PMC without a reason. It has exhausted my personal life in the past. It has caused gaps in relationships before due to how much time I spent on PMC. So you could say that I wasn't able to balance it well. But now, I seem to be able to.
