I don't know if you have read any of the ender's games books, but in the first one there is a game where they all go around in zero gravity hiding behind cover and shooting at each other with stun guns, which inspired this (although it really reminds me more of the space fighting in a call of duty game whose name I can't remember). You set it to night and turn off doDaylightCycle, you then build a huge box out of some type of glass (I prefer clear glass from TiC) using either some external program or a builders guide from openblocks in cheaty mode. You build gates at either and fill the room with "rubble". For the rubble I find it fun to build broken spaceships and asteroids as objects to take cover behind/run ontop of. Everyone is given either Flans guns or mana blasters from botania with a damaging bounce compound lense. The important thing is that everyone is given creative jetpacks from the simply jetpacks mod (I prefer to give them the smoke particle effect instead of the default) so they can fly around. You can play one of many game modes and I won't spell out specific rules but you can play classic team deathmatch, "Ender's Game(mode), in which you try and get someone through the opponents gate unharmed, or you could even play capture the flag.
