Legend of the Grey Hollows
This is the tale of the Grey Hollows, one of the few kingdoms that had yet to fall to
the Crimson Templars, an ancient race of men that was corrupted by the
twisted might of Aangvhel, the evil master of the Kyailrhan to the South.
Rolihn was a tall, strong dwarf of the age of 17, he had dark brown hair, and
deep green eyes like beryl. He lived in a mining camp in the Frostbitten Mountains
located in the Realm of Morgothal, a great Dwarven Kingdom. He lived an average
life, mining day in and day out. The caves of the Frostbitten Mountains were
home to many precious metals including: Emerald, Ruby, Stahlrim, and Mithril.
His adventure started one especially cold day in winter, four days before the
Day of the Gilded, a festival enjoyed by dwarves, celebrating the day that
Mizrahm struck down the mighty foe, Gahlbator, and established his rule
over the Mountains. Rolihn was going about his day as usual, when he received
a letter from Lord Molkin, Mizrahm's great grandson, and king of Morgothal.
The letter said nothing in particular, other than a summons to come to his
castle on the other side of the Mountain Range post-haste, and that he
could bring one other person with him. Rolihn then headed to
his home in the eastern mines to pack his things as quick as he
could, when suddenly there came a knock at his door "Come in." he said, and the
door opened to reveal his friend, Glor, a stocky young dwarf of 16, he stood
4 foot 3 inches from the ground, a foot and a half shorter than Rolihn, and had
blue eyes, and orange hair, with freckles speckled about his staut face.
Glor was also the older brother of Sahl, Rolihn's girlfriend, who was 15,
shared Glor's gingery composition and long, smooth orange hair,
And stood 4 foot 4 off the cobblestone floor.
"What are you doing over here this time of day?" Rolihn asked.
"I heard about the summons, I got one too." replied Glor.
"So who are you going to travel with?" Glor said.
"Well, I was going to ask you." Rolihn replied slightly sarcasticly.
"And you?" he continued. "I was going to bring my sister."
Glor answered. A slight smile came to Rolihn's lips as he heard this news.
Just as Glor said that, Sahl walked into the room through the open door.
She then walked across the room over to Rolihn and entered his welcoming
arms. "Hello." she said as she smiled up at Rolihn. It took the group the next
two hours to finnish packing thier things. "Everyone ready?" Rolihn asked as
they neared the exit of the mines to start the long journey to Moonstone Keep,
the capital city of the Frostbitten Mountains. "Melloh." whispered Glor as they
neared a blank stone wall marked only by two glowing red orbs, then a doorway
appeared in the stone, and the group set out.
