Lets face it.

Minecraft is an amazing game, and in the process of developing it to the point where you're sure that it won't get anymore amazing, and that they would be running out of ideas, they do something that will blow your mind.

However, i noticed something interesting.
Before Blazes, there were skeletons, which shot arrows, and still do.
They can be consolidated with Medieval...ness.
They were effectively the only ranged mobs in the overworld.

Ghasts were the only ranged, or only. mobs in the nether.
When they added Blazes, others would've thought
'Oh, cool! Elementals!'
Or something along those lines, others may have even thought that they were just new mobs.
I saw them as Spellcasters, the first spellcasters in minecraft.
The mini fireballs they shot gave me all the proof i needed to realise that sooner or later, Steve would discover how these blazes could do this, and then, Magic.

Through the updates, Witches.
They throw potions.
Fascinating.

If Blazes could fire fireballs, why could Witches not shoot voodoo or something? The answer was obvious.
They needed a mob to throw potions, which was another part of my "Proof" of magic.
Then the Wither, obviously related somewhat to magic or something dark, it just seems like Mojang are getting to the point where they will add some sort of secret of magic.

Very recently, they added Enchanted Books.
Dammit mojang.
They are getting closer and closer, even enchanting tables are there, if they never end up adding magic i would be seriously surprised.

Anyway, enough of my rambling. On to the Magical idea of Magical Magicy magic.

Spellbooks are cliche, and old, and if there is one thing i know, Mojang always finds a way to change what was old into a new idea.

Hell, they may even stick to the cliche, and make wands.
Who knows, but here i am, explaining my idea.

3 tiers of equipment, 1st tier would be Scrolls, one use spells that are somewhat limited, second tier, Wands. Very limited to only basic spells and has a durability of 50 casts, and can only cast the spell attached via crafting, then, Staves. Certain staves with certain elements, being able to cast all of the magicalness in their range. I shall elaborate further.

Scrolls:
Lesser Fireball - Blazes shoot these. (Fire)
Greater fireballs - I wonder what shoots these? Ghasts. (Fire)
Growth - Let it ...Grow, let it grow, let it grow! Bonemeal you genius. (Weed/Earth)
Levitate - Allows a block to be picked up, if a chest is picked up, the chest will save the contained items. (Tix)
Daze - The target gets applied nausea and will randomly stagger around. (Tix)
Refabricate - Teleport in laymen terms, you move forward 5 blocks leaving behind a ghost version of you for 2 seconds. (Tix)
Light blast - Air shoots from you to 3 blocks radious, anything in that radious will get pushed back 5 blocks. (Air)
Heavy blast - Air blasts from the ground shooting nearby entities 8 blocks up. (Air)
Ring of Fire - A ring 3 blocks away from you....of fire. (Fire)
Flight - Allows flight for 8 seconds. (Air)
Bringet - Creates a bubble of dirt around you, which every minute, it goes down 1 block. (Earth/Weed)
Heavy Rain - 10 blocks around you starts to rain dirt blocks which deal 5 hearts of damage on collision (Earth/weed)

Wands:
Wand of fire - Shoots blaze fireballs.
Wand of Earth - Acts as bonemeal.
Wand of Aesthetix - Levitates a block.
Wand of Air - Air blasts from the ground shooting nearby entities 5 blocks up.

Staff:
Staff of the Nether - Allows all fire spells.
Staff of Weeds - Allows all earth spells.
Staff of Tix - Allows all non elemental spells.
Staff of BlockLimit - Allows air based spells.

This idea can be worked on alot, but heck.
