- Moss blocks naturally generate on the floor and ceilings of Minecraft Lush Caves biomes in Minecraft 1.17.
- In Minecraft 1.17, Moss blocks can be spread by using bonemeal. They can also be used to craft moss carpet, mossy cobblestone and mossy stone bricks.
- Because the Minecraft 1.17 update has been split into two parts, players will have to buy moss blocks from Wandering traders, Wandering traders sell 2 moss blocks for 1 emerald.
- Moss blocks can also be found as loot from Ship Wrecks.
